We still do a mini-bedtime. Shades down, sound machine on, his lovies and stuffed animals he likes. I think he definitely sleeps better this way.
Same here. Only difference is that naps get music and bedtime gets white noise. Same sound machine just different settings. And naptime he can have his fan on if he wants.
TTC since August 2011. After MFI diagnosis and IVF+ICSI, we had DD on July 6th, 2013.
TTC #2 since September 2014. 2 attempts at a FET, my body was never appropriately suppressed. Never made it to the ET. Got pregnant naturally-M/C Dec 14 at 6 weeks. FET 2/26/15...BFN 3/15/15: Repeated SA...higher numbers than with DD. 5/4/15: IUI#1 - BFN 6/18/15: BFP on a break cycle! Due 2/20/16.
Usually around 1230 that's when she wakes up around 7 if she's up at 6 its,usually 1130..
Lilly is nowhere near ready for naps until 1-1:30 even if she gets up at 6am. I suggest moving it back.
We also do the mandatory quiet time. Even if she doesn't sleep, she stays in her room the full two hours. When that happens, it usually leads to an earlier bedtime.
We tell her she has to rest even if she doesn't nap. Someday she falls right to sleep. Other days she sings for 90% of her nap. As long as she is in her crib I'm happy. The mornings when we do stuff she usually passes right out if we stay at home naps are tricker.
This, DD naps fine at DC, but on weekends I don't think we tire her out enough a lot of the time. If she chills in her crib singing and talking for 2 hours I call it a win. Lets be honest, nap time is so I get MY break.
We do 1pm nap time (she wakes around 7:30), when I pushed it to 1:30 we started having less success.
Whenever we thought we were losing the nap we adjusted the start time and it has always worked. I'm holding strong at 2-3 hour naps at 5 years old so I consider myself a master time keeper. they also go through nap strike phases so if you think you have the right start time just keep trying.
We had to push naps back to about 1:30 or 2. If I did them earlier she would just play or cry. Any later and she sleeps for 20 minutes and wakes up miserable. Now we are at the point where I turn off any music or TV that is on and say nap time - she just grabs her pillow and follows me to her room. It took some time to get to this point though!
