DH is downstairs with DD and I'm still in bed. I'm debating on if I want to take a nice long shower before joining them. H is telling DD I'm sleeping, but I'm up.
LO was only up two or three times last night, and I was only up once or twice beyond that. Big improvement from the previous few nights, so I'll take it for now.
I've really pushed my sewing skills up a few levels all at once by challenging myself to make my first article of clothing. I figured for trying several new skills, it may take a few tries before any clothing pieces I make actually turn out nice enough to wear in public. I'm really surprised and pleased with how it turned out though - better than I could have hoped for and public-worthy. Also, I loooove my new-to-me, fancier sewing machine that I FINALLY got to use. I hope I get time to play with it more today.
LO has yet to get his much-needed haircut, so that is priority one today. Might make some puppy chow at some point; LO saw a picture of it on the cereal box and asked for it (which made me realize it has been quite a while since I have made any treats - twist my arm, kid ).
cam, What is puppy chow? The only thing I've ever heard with that name is dog food....and that doesn't sound right at all in this context.
Yeah, I make a lot from scratch, but I don't make the dogs' food. I know some people call it "muddy buddies." Chex or Crispix cereal with peanut butter and chocolate (and I think it uses vanilla and maybe butter - don't recall off hand, but pb and chocolate are the main ingredients) and coated in powdered sugar.
That sounds really yummy! I might have to go to the store later...
Go for it! I take it you haven't had/made before, so I will add that boxes of Chex typically have various recipes on them, so you may be able to get the recipe with the cereal (otherwise I can share). I usually use the corn or rice flavors (typically a mix of the two actually).
My sore throat from yesterday has graduated to a full-fledged chest cold. I sound like I smoked 3 packs a day for fifty years or so. If both these kids get sick and cranky before i'm better I will go 'round the bend.

I'm working on tidying the house before our sitter comes at 1. I'm going for a pedicure and drinks or eats with my mom to celebrate her birthday. I should probably get dressed at some point. DS is crazy today.

Thanks! I checked the Chex website and found the recipe. Now I just need to pick up some Chex and chocolate chips and we'll be good to try this yummy sounding treat!
I'm taking DD up to a splash pad soon but we will probably just end up on the playground. She just started walking not too long ago so she isn't the most steady and I don't want her to get plowed over. I finally got some organizing started but now I feel like I have an even bigger mess on my hands.

I am in this state right now so badly. Combining households means I am pretty much reorganizing every inch of the house. I love to be super organized though.
I took DD "swimming" earlier. By swimming I mean we were in the pool with DD sitting on the ladder wanting to buckle her life jacket, then trying to get me to unbuckle it so she can buckle it again. We had to get out though since some of gwapes rain is coming over here.
Love puppy chow, but do not need to make because I would eat it all and probably in one sitting. Maybe I will make 2 ingredient (well 3 ingredient) after nap time.
I was brave enough to venture out to the store to get some cold meds, now i'm just trying to keep the toddler calm until dinner. We're watching Cars. Again. It's the only dvd he can ask for by name. Well, that and the TV series Avatar (Aaaatar! Is how he says it)
DH stayed over at work last night to prep for a big event today, and won't be off till ten, but you can bet he's still on baby duty his half of tonight.
I totally thought you were making your own dog food, haha! I was like "I know people make their own baby food buuuuut...." I visited with my mom and then did a few hours of work for my old job while LO stayed with her. About to have dinner and CRASH.

You don't make your own vegan, gluten free, organic dog food from scratch? Fail!

To be a good STAP, you must make your own dog food from scratch, even if you have no dogs (just send the extra here as I have two), and you must coordinate your timing with the rest of the board as we clearly have today. I would recommend leaving out the chocolate though in the batch for the dogs.
In other news, I do not like your avatar picture. It makes me want cupcakes. I have not had time to bake anything in months (and the last two times I even did were cakes for other people). The puppy chow is the closest I have come by far, and that is just microwave, stir, and shake.

Haha, well if I didn't have to start making dog food, for dogs I do not own, I would gladly send you a batch of cupcakes... But alas, dog food. In all honesty this avatar is the closest Ive gotten to cupcakes in far too long too :/
