Hi all! I've been a creepy lurker for awhile. (Who is this girl and why is she always love titting our stuff!?) So here I am. A little about me:
I am 24 and my DH is 29. We got married one week ago but we've been TTC for about a year and a half with two miscarriages. So the last time we were benched we started looking at our options. We decided neither of us are comfortable with Clomid but are trying Letrozole right now. It didn't work the first month so we're willing to give it a few more shots. I, ever the pessimistic one am not holding my breath!
We discussed further options and decided that right now wouldn't be the best time to pursue IUI or IVF for us though we aren't dismissing the idea entirely. We've pretty assuredly decided on pursuing foster care through the state. My extended family has had lots of dealings with DCFS (I think I've asked for help here once or twice!) These recent situations have really helped put into perspective thr beauty of keeping families together.
At the moment, while we figure out the steps to take to build our own family, I can't think of anything more satisfying to do with our time and empty bedrooms than to help other families become strong. (In the right circumstances we are willing to adopt if needed) I've called my local office and she sent me a huge packet of information to read up on and invited us to a seminar in August. She mentioned that training classes for our county will likely start up again in September.
So it's a waiting game for us. I don't know if we'll continue to pursue Letrozole after the information seminar in August. However, even if we do get pregnant, we do still plan to do foster care after the child is born/a little older. So I'll be an "official" member of this board someday. I was hoping you guys wouldn't mind me lurking, love titting, and soaking up all the info in the meantime!
P.S. This turned into a book and I didn't mention that much about me. I'm a preschool teacher, my soul mate is my beagle dog named Lolly. My human soul mate is planning on switching jobs soon...he's still figuring out what he wants. Together we have a Great Dane and two cats. Our favorite past times are eating, binge watching Netflix, and anything involving water! We love floating, swimming, and exploring at the local river. I spend waay too much time online planning and pinteresting things I never get around to doing!
It's nice to meet you!
