I wish it were integrated into the games. Some of them do have times. "You've been playing for xx minutes. Ask mom or dad to see if you can continue" and you have to put in a code.

I think the Kindle Fire is pretty awesome for this. You can give them so much time for games, so much time for video content and so much time for reading. Wish there was more support for it in Canada.

Which is another reason why I think it's probably too simplistic to simply say "screen time." I already do so much of my reading on a ereader or an ipad, I can only imagine that's going to increase for our kids and I can't say that should ever be in the limited category.

I think I'm much more concerned about quality time, whether it is with a screen or not.

+1 on the quality instead if the quantity. As DS gets older, I need to figure out the time settings on his kindle. He mainly gets it when we are trying to sleep in a bit on the weekends
