Yeah, we're starting to get this, too. In the past couple of days we've had a couple of rolls that led her to actually moving a significant distance and one instance of scooting. While I think she'll be able to entertain herself a bit more when she can actually sit and move, I'm NOT ready. We have a LOT of baby-proofing to do, and I'm worried about all the crap DD1 will leave everywhere. Maybe the scooting was just an isolated incident...
DD has started turning herself in a circle during tummy time so I don't think we're far off. Also, I haven't seen it, but she's scooting around a little on her back. I'll go to the kitchen for a minute and come back to find her a foot from where I left her.
My LO is doing the same! Yikes! She is so funny and is ALL over her crib at night rolling around in her sleep. She starts with her head at one end and is flipped 180 degrees. There isn't an inch that she doesn't touch. She loves to sleep up against the borders of it too. Crazy sleeper!

This! You turn away for a few seconds and are like how did you get there?

I'll be honest, I'm not actively encouraging movement. I'm happy she stays where I put her. She's wiggly enough that I don't leave her on a raised surface like a couch or bed, but not mobile yet. I'll enjoy it while I can.

Yup. We're there too! Almost everytime I set DS down to sit he'll play for a little while and then go forward to get another toy. He hasn't made it very far on his knees yet but I'm excited!(:
Oh boy, k just got up on all fours! It was only for a second but it was all on her own. Someone please volunteer to come over and finish baby proofing my home please!!
I feel like Cadence is regressing, at least as far as rolling goes. She was rolling back to belly like a pro; now she just lies there like a crying lump. She screams like a banshee if I even so much as attempt tummy time. She only wants to be held standing up, with her bearing her own weight.
I have to have a serious talk with her that there is no way in hell she's allowed to be skipping the crawling stage. You crawl before you walk, girl.

Me neither. ROM has been getting around pretty well with just rolling and turning - today he added army crawling to his repertoire (albeit accidentally for now). I guess I better actually baby-proof the joint now because his radar seems to be for things he shouldn't get into. No more play mat surrounded by toys = mommy time to get shit done
