Breast pump/insurance question

Does anyone remember the name of the company that will process your breast pump insurance claim for you? I remember a few people posting about it on TB awhile back but can't for the life of me remember the name of the website, and really don't want to go back to TB to look for it. My insurance is the biggest pain the ass to work with so I'm really hoping I can avoid calling them myself. TIA!

I'd make sure that whatever vendor you choose is ok'ed by your insurance. Aetna gave me a list of 5 medical supply stores that I can order from according to my plan. Each vendor has a list of which pumps Aetna will cover. I just pick a pump and tell them my due date. The vendor takes care of everything else with insurance.

Eta: there is a drop down menu and they will let you know what you are eligible for and if they work with your insurance. They work with most.

Definitely call your insurance and find out their preferred vendors, that's how I got their website.

I had to call mine directly as well, as my Insurance uses Limeric and I have the option for hospital grade only. When I called www.breastpumps.aeroflowinc.com. they were totally confused because I have BCBS Anthem which typically covers standard across the board, but my company does a special program for working moms etc.

My boss checked on this for me and she said ours covers any pump I choose. I was skeptical but we have great insurance in every other way so I shouldn't be surprised. The only bummer is I have to wait until after baby is here to buy it and get reimbursed. That's the other catch it's out-of-pocket initially but a full reimbursement.

It may not work with your insurance though. It doesn't with mine. I had to call my insurance directly.

I have aetna, which was one of the choices on their drop down menu, so I'm hoping they do. I'm assuming they'll contact me if they don't.

I called my insurance directly, and they said the hospital where I will deliver (affiliated with my insurance company) will give me a breast pump at delivery. Only problem, it's a cheap manual pump and I was hoping to get an electric one to make things easier when I go back to work.

I contacted my insurance directly and was told I could buy from any vendor and submit for reimbursement, but that they will only reimburse up to $150. I'm submitting through this website just to see if they get anything different, but right now my plan is to get a Medela PISA through Amazon using my 15% registry completion + Amazon mom discount, which would mean after reimbursement I'd pay about $50, but I figure it's worth a try to see if I could get a better deal through this website.

We have united health care through our employer and we ordered from Edgepark last time. I got the Ameda Purely Yours completely covered. You can register for it 30 days before your due date but it will only be shipped after the baby is born. You can order a new pump per kid. This time it looks like they're also covering a medela so I will hopefully go with that! (I wasn't a huge fan of the Ameda pump)

I wasn't able to use Aeroflow with my insurance company, but I called around and ended up using the one through Babies R Us - McKesson Patient Care Solutions. Not quite as easy as the other website, but at least it worked with my insurance and the pump came in just a few days later!

I called Edgepark and they contacted my provider for the rx for the pump and shipped it within the week. I got a Medela double electric. Don't know if pump on style or what. It's lasted a year quite well.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever rented a breast pump before? Im hoping my insurance will cover a decent electric one but my mother suggested a rental in case it doesn't work out. My eyes glaze over everytime I have to speak to someone at my insurance company, I feel like I never get a direct answer.
