Runners, I have a lot of questions for you. I'm curious about what other runners do as I am just getting into running again (ince I was in my 20s. Please tell me all about your running habits.

How long have you been running (months/years)? On and off since high school, fairly consistently for the past 10 years
How often do you run and at what time of day? Right now, I mostly run to and from work. I prefer morning runs, but really any time of day can be okay for me.
Do you run year-round? Yup. I kind of love running in crappy weather--it makes me feel like a badass.
Inside (treadmill/track)/outside (trail/street)? All outside right now, but I have a treadmill that I used a lot when LO was littler (so I could run during naps and after bedtime when I was staying at home with her).
How far (distance) or for how long (time) do you run? I love distance running and was totally happy with multi-hour 20+ mile runs when I had more time (aka no kid). My typical runs right now are 30-60min/3-5ish miles.
What is your farthest and fastest speed? Farthest: marathon; fastest: 8 minute miles (definitely not the marathon ;-) )
What do you do before a run to prepare (eat/drink/stretch)? Nothing What do you do after a run to cool down and recover? Not as much as I should, but I do walk a little and have some water. I have to eat right after a long run or I get nauseous. What type of running gear do you use and what is your favorite? Nothing special. Cheap is my favorite! What apps/devices do you use to track your runs? I used RunKeeper for a little while, but I don't any more. If I'm planning a route for a long run, I'll use Map My Run.
How often do you do organized races? What is the furthest distance race you have done? I haven't done one in a couple years, but I used to do a half marathon or marathon once or twice a year.
What are your short term/long term running goals? Right now, I'd like to keep running as long as I can into this pregnancy. Someday, I'd like to get back into marathons.

How often do you run and at what time of day? 3-4 days a week depends on training schedules. I like to run in the morning before it gets too hot.
Do you run year-round? I do! I've done a half marathon in December and trained outside in Minnesota weather. Winter outdoor runs are fantastic. I also have a treadmill.

How far (distance) or for how long (time) do you run? Depends on the training. This week is 3 miles to 7.5 miles.
What is your farthest and fastest speed? I'm a slower runner I average 10.30ish miles.
What do you do before a run to prepare (eat/drink/stretch)? Water and a trail bar on longer runs. If it's a shorter run I just go.
What do you do after a run to cool down and recover? I walk and then foam roll.
What type of running gear do you use and what is your favorite? I'm pretty simple I like my FlipBelt and earbuds. I throw my phone, gum and Chapstick in my belt to be hands free. I've learned I don't like my earbuds cord touching me.

How often do you do organized races? What is the furthest distance race you have done? 3-4 a year. I have done a half marathon and another one coming this September. I do a 10k in June that has been "my run."
What are your short term/long term running goals? Short term goal would be to complete the half and long term goal would be to increase my miles to 10 minutes.

How often do you run and at what time of day? At least something every day. I get up in the morning before work.
Do you run year-round? Yes, unless it's below 20, but that's just a few days a year.
Inside (treadmill/track)/outside (trail/street)? Outside in the neighborhood. Treadmills are torture.
How far (distance) or for how long (time) do you run? 30 minutes to an hour.
What is your farthest and fastest speed? I can run a mile in 6:49. My best half marathon time is 1:46:58, which is 8:12 pace. Best 5K is 22:44.
What do you do before a run to prepare (eat/drink/stretch)? Dynamic stretches but that's it. I eat right after.
What do you do after a run to cool down and recover? Stretching, drink lots of water
What type of running gear do you use and what is your favorite? I love my Garmin GPS watch during races. It keeps me on track.
What apps/devices do you use to track your runs? Nothing.
How often do you do organized races? What is the furthest distance race you have done? A few times a year. Half Marathon is my longest distance. No desire to run a full right now.
What are your short term/long term running goals? Get faster. 21 something 5K and half under 1:45.
How long have you been running (months/years)? 20 years. Started cross country freshman year of high school.
How often do you run and at what time of day?bi prefer early morning as I have most energy and love the endorphins. I also piss myself later in the day post vaginal birth. Haha. I try to run 3-4 times a week, but I go through phases of just taking a break and being lazy.

Inside (treadmill/track)/outside? I have gear for all weather but usually run at gym on treadmill in the winter. I prefer outside for sure.
How far (distance) or for how long (time) do you run? Between 3-6 miles. What is your farthest and fastest speed? I've run a marathon twice and have done a 10k with a 7:40 min mile pace. I am nowhere near either right now though! I'm a casual 10 min mile girl now.
What do you do before a run to prepare (eat/drink/stretch)?[ just some water.
What do you do after a run to cool down and recover? Wal slow and stretch. Unless it's a long training run not much.
What type of running gear do you use and what is your favorite? I'm a saucony gear girl. But I usually get cheap stuff at marshals not brand dependAnt. I'm not picky at all except my kicks.
What apps/devices do you use to track your runs? Nike app on phone.
How often do you do organized races? At least 3 a year. Love turkey trots.
What is the furthest distance race you have done? I did a 200 mile relay as an ultra with was about 36 miles within 24 hours for me, so felt harder than 26 straight.
What are your short term/long term running goals? wake up and do it. Does that count?
How long have you been running (months/years)? 20 years. I took some breaks during that time, like when I was pregnant or injured, but it's been pretty consistent otherwise.
How often do you run and at what time of day? Right now I aim for 3-4 times a week. I run first thing in the morning.

Inside (treadmill/track)/outside (trail/street)? I do a lot of treadmill running that I honestly don't mind. But I prefer outside running on a trail in the park.
How far (distance) or for how long (time) do you run? Depends on how much time I have- but I usually aim for between 25-40 minutes- which puts be between 2.5-4 miles.
What is your farthest and fastest speed? I ran a half marathon in 2:07. My fastest 5k was like 27 minutes.
What do you do before a run to prepare (eat/drink/stretch)? I wake up? I should- but I almost never stretch. Ever.
What do you do after a run to cool down and recover? Take a shower. Sometimes I walk a minute or two if it was a speed work run or something.
What type of running gear do you use and what is your favorite? Shoes are the only thing I pay attention to, and I've been buying the same shoes over and over for 5 or 6 years now- brooks ghost shoes.
What apps/devices do you use to track your runs? When I'm training for a race, I track on a paper calendar hung on my fridge. If not, I don't really track at all.
How often do you do organized races? What is the furthest distance race you have done? Furthest was a half. I don't intend to race further. And it's been awhile- but I try to do at least one a year. I like racing 10k and triathlons.
What are your short term/long term running goals? I want to get close to back where I was before kids as far as endurance is concerned. But mostly I just run because I like to run. So I don't have a ton of goals in mind.

How often do you run and at what time of day? Not nearly as often now. If I'm training for a race, I'll go out a couple times a week. After baby is born, I would like to get back in a running routine. Weekends I'll run in the morning, week days in the evening.
Do you run year-round? I will. We do a race on Thanksgiving every year.
Inside (treadmill/track)/outside (trail/street)? Outside - road, trail, around the lakes, whatever works. I hate running inside on a treadmill!
How far (distance) or for how long (time) do you run? Typically about 3 miles or 30-40 minutes.
What is your farthest and fastest speed? I did a 10 mile lace last year. Typically I'll do 5Ks, occasionally a 7K. I've also done a 10K. I don't know any of my PRs off hand...
What do you do before a run to prepare (eat/drink/stretch)? No normal routine - don't typically eat anything big, sometimes stretch. Basically get my shoes on and iPod ready.
What do you do after a run to cool down and recover? No normal routine here either - if I'm at home, I'll lay on the deck and stretch; if I've gone somewhere to run, nothing specific.
What type of running gear do you use and what is your favorite? Nothing fancy - shorts, shoes, top, sometimes I wear an armband for my iPod, sometimes not.
What apps/devices do you use to track your runs? I have MapMyFitness but usually forget to turn it on.
How often do you do organized races? What is the furthest distance race you have done? At least 1 a year, up to 5. I did 3 last year, I believe, and have 1 in this year with another lined up for Nov. It typically depends on cost; one of my favorite race groups has great races, but they're SO overpriced. Farthest race was the 10 mile last fall.
What are your short term/long term running goals? I would like to run a half. I'm looking at the 2016 Garry Bjorklund, but would need to get back into a consistent running routine and get a training plan in place - I wouldn't start training until after baby is born in Oct though.
