Flutters!!? Jan 23, 2015 16:34:23 GMT -5via mobile

I remember being around 16-18 weeks when I first felt any movement with my first son. As of now, I'm not even 15 weeks yet but I'm pretty sure I've been feeling flutters lately ^_^ it's so heart warming. Anyone else experiencing this?!
"You should feel your baby's first movements, called "quickening," between weeks 16 and 25 of your pregnancy. If this is your first pregnancy, you may not feel your baby move until closer to 25 weeks. By the second pregnancy, some women start to feel movements as early as 13 weeks."

I've felt the same "fluttering" a time or two, but I've just likened it to gas, honestly :/ Not out of the realm of possibility, though our little nuggets are still so damn small, it's unlikely at this point. just be prepared for some serious side eyes with this post....

I thought it was gas at first too. My OB asked me about it a week before I ever felt anything..she was saying it's possible this early with me being fairly thin and this being a recurring pregnancy. To each her own though, not sure why people would get annoyed by this
I might need to ask for some forgiveness here because you've BTDT and the flutters start early and you're far enough along...
My knee jerk reaction was that is was gas, but I'm a FTM so I'm not expecting anything anytime soon. You are in the Round Two camp, so I should probably shut up before I get into more trouble.

Congratulations on your gas!
Lol I know what gas feels like, gas also moves all over. This is is one place. Again, I'm not a first time mom & im a PN. Im pretty certain I'd notice the difference between gas and flutters. Every Pregnancy isn't "by the book" guys

Web MD isn't accredited lol I'm a PN
Feel free to do your own Googling. Any sites you find particularly reliable?

it sounds like I owe you an apology--
You don't owe me an apology lol I even thought it was gas at first. & I'm sorry but I have absolutely no idea what those abbreviations mean :/

Okay, congratulations on feeling "movement" earlier than anyone else.

Sometimes I think I feel something, and then I just rub my belly and remind myself to think "hello, lunch burrito". I do remember that when I finally started feeling DD, it took me a while to admit it wasn't gas and was a baby, haha

I don't really see how being a PN (or in the medical field in any capacity) makes you an expert on how baby flutters feel but I digress. To each their own, if you believe they are the baby, then they are... to you. You said you "weren't even 15 weeks", so... How far along are you if I may ask? Did you find us from the bump? Why no ticker? Why no avatar? And just cause I'm feeling nice, the abbreviations are as follows:
BTDT: Been There Done That FTM: First Time Mom.
I don't think there is a glossary here on GBCB, but you can always search TB for their glossary of commonly used abbreviations.
Who ARE you, if you don't mind? I didn't see an introduction post anywhere.
Should I have made a post? Like I "have" to? If so where or is there a specific post I should comment under?
It appears you haven't spent much time here.
First off, Welcome. It does help to introduce yourself, and there's a thread called "introduce yourself" which you can find using the search function.
Second, on a previous site that shall not be named, many, many posters asked whether they were "showing" or "feeling movements" very early in their pregnancy. It got annoying fast, and, frankly, many of the members here have little tolerance for it.
Finally, it may help you to look around a little bit before you start posting, to see which kinds of questions are asked, what the abbreviations mean, and to know what kind of responses to expect.
xxbxx - hm, you're cute. I invite you to peruse some of the earlier discussions that have been posted. It's a great history lesson, and if you get popcorn, some seriously good entertainment.
