Did pregnancy fuck with anyone's teeth? They look the same, but my two front teeth feel rough instead of smooth. I was wondering if it was some weird thing like calcium loss (I don't know what that means, but someone mentioned it to me once and I freaked.).
I'm going to the dentist next week. I'll ask them and report back if interesting.
My teeth are still good. Thank ELF because orthodontics are spendy! Plus, I had my time with braces, I don't need a do-over.
My gums however. EW. Flossing, interdental brush, special toothpaste and mouthwash...and still one bit of my gumline is swollen and funny. Dentist said it will go away. I had it with DS as well, and it did go but it is taking SO LONG this time. And it is ugly.

Mine too!! I'm 5 months post partum (twins were born at 32 weeks) and my gums are only now pretty much back to normal. But as they recedes my teeth have moved.
Yeah I have had friends who swear they had tons of cavities after being pregnant and breastfeeding but I did not have that problem with my first. I still need to go to the dentist since having DS. I should really get on that.

Hi! I might have missed it but I haven't seen anything from you in a while! Good to see you around!

I have always had really bad teeth. I had my first root canal when I was 5. Both my parents and grandparents also had very weak teeth. I was really worried that being pregnant would cause more problems but luckily nothing really changed. My gums were more sensitive and bled while flossing but they are back to normal now. But I remember people telling me your teeth get worse during pregnancy.

Yes! My teeth are okay but sore all of the time because when I'm tired (welcome to motherhood) I clench my jaw. I also do this while breastfeeding apparently. So my teeth and gums hurt all the time. The dentist told me I had gingivitis and scared the shit out of me that all of my teeth would fall out, so now I keep flossers next to my toilet and floss whenever I sit down to pee.

Then I wash my hands. ?
I gotta floss more. Especially if I get invisalign- I hear it makes you become a flossing machine because you don't want to put your trays back in with food or bacteria all up in there.
I haven't noticed that any of my teeth moved but they are crazy sensitive now. It's all the time too, not just when I eat something hot or cold. I actually picked up some sensodyne the other day.

Yeah I changed my profile pic on the bump after I had DS but I rarely posted. I am going to try and jump back in now that things are starting to settle into our new normal now!
I def had a shit ton of cavities after having dd and not as much after DS. I blame the cavities from dd with motn pregnancy wakings where I was so thirsty and it could only be quenched with chugging juice... And then just going back to sleep with no teeth brushing
Apparently it is pretty normal for the enamel on your teeth to be slightly softer and therefore vulnerable to changes or cavities.
I chipped my teeth in labour, just from biting down. I think it can take a while to get back to normal. My dentist told me this is why mine chipped o easily. But, who knows. She may have just wanted to sound smart.

I went to the dentist at 4 or 5 months with DS1 and everything was fine. Then at three months pp I had 5 cavities. Never had one before.. This time, I feel like my teeth keep shifting. I'm afraid to go to the dentist because I haven't been in about a year.

My teeth are the same, no problems. But my H graduates dental school in 5 months, so every time I feel something weird in my mouth I'm all like "Hey, look at this, AHHHH." Sexy.
