Hi all! I'm a March 15 momma and EP. The ladies over there suggested I come here and ask for some advice. I've been on amoxicillin for 6 days and LO has been fine. This morning he had a horribly watery blow out. I've decided to stop the amoxicillin to spare him any ill effects but I'm about 6 bottles ahead of him and was planning to freeze some of the milk from this week. Is it still safe to feed him the other bottles and is freezing the additional milk still safe to do? Thanks in advance.
It's totally fine! Amoxicillin is one of the gentlest antibiotics tou can take while BFing. I took it for 2 weeks back in Feb. i had rsv which turned into a double ear infection, sinus infection, bronchitis and ruptured ear drum. I was a mess. My doc did warn me that it could cause some diarrhea in baby but that it was fine and would pass soon. Get tourself better and baby will be fine too.

Another person here on team "Don't stop the antibiotics". Not finishing a full course of prescribed antibiotics is the quickest way to end up with an antibiotic-resistant infection that would require last-resort ABX.
I've had an active MRSA infection in the past. You don't want to end up in a position where you're on a drug of last resort. It's not a good situation.
