I think someone else posted this recipe today, but these cookies are amazing. I made them last night and have been eating them nonstop. I made them dairy free and half chocolate chip, half raisin.

Even though I have an abundant supply, I think I am going to try some of these recipes so that I can build up my freezer supply before Brady starts daycare on August 17th.

I made these too but, I am wondering if they don't have enough of the yeast and flax when comparing them to badw0lf bar recipe. I totally forgot that flax seed meal is a good egg substitute. Next time, I need to cut out the eggs. I substituted the following: 1/2 amount of butter for 4 oz of applesauce and coconut sugar 1 for 1 for the regular sugar.

Where have you ladies been able to find brewers yeast? I have looked at it at a couple different places but haven't been able to find it. (Sorry I don't have a recipe to post, I'm actually picking up some lactation cookies from a local at home baker tomorrow. I am Excited because she is an amazing baker)

I got mine at another whole foods type store (earth fare). I also saw some on amazon

*Note: This is the full recipe - I made half the recipe and got almost a full cookie sheet of bars
1 Cup Butter 1 1/2 Cups Light Brown Sugar 2 Eggs 1 TB Molasses Vanilla - I used this fancy Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract and I'm heavy handed 2 1/3 Cups Quick Oats 1/4 Cup Brewers Yeast 1/4 Cup Ground Flaxseed 1 Cup AP Flour 1 Tsp Baking Soda 3/4 tsp Salt 2 Cups Chocolate (or Butterscotch or Peanut Butter) Chips
1. Brown butter on stove top. *I just melted it and in retrospect I should have let it cool off more as it melted my chocolate right away but it still tasted good. 2. Cream butter with sugar. 3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each. 4. Add molasses and vanilla 5. In a separate bowl combine oats, flax, yeast, flour, soda and salt. 6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet. 7. Stir in chips 8. Spread in a butter cookie sheet (or any 13x9 pan) 9. Bake at 350* for 28-32 mins 10. Let cool and cut into bars!
*I also added about 1 cup toasted coconut flakes.

Yea I made them on Friday and they dried out pretty bad by Monday. I mean the 4 that were left.... Haha.
Dang. I wonder why they dry out so damn fast?!? I think it's got to be the oats. I just finished making a batch of cookies & significantly upped the flax seed & Brewers yeast. Didn't notice a change in taste. I'm going to give the bars a go later today.

I'm thinking it may be the oats and the yeast. I think the yeast and flax could def be upped in my recipe without altering the taste. Also maybe I should have store them in the fridge instead of in Tupperware on the counter.
So I made the "booby bars." I did your recipe to the tee. Dumped some coconut in the mix. Then sprinkled it on top. Amazeballs. Better than the cookies I make. It's almost like a 7 layer bar. I'm gonna have to wait until AM to bag them. They are still warm, gooey, and fall aparty......
