1. Our bathroom remodel is taking longer than anticipated so DH is having to take more time off work to try to finish it up. He always underestimates time tables and I told him we need to triple the time he estimates.
2. Due to the remodel, LO has only had 1 nap since Thursday and has been staying up extra late and sleeping in late. I just put her down for one now and I really hopes she falls asleep. She needs to get back on schedule.
3. I told DH our next house can't be a fixer upper, it's just too much work and pretty impossible with a LO (let alone 2 next year).
4. My parents were over 3 days in a row helping us with the bathroom, LO, and with meals. It was so nice to have extra hands around.
5. Somehow I was able to hide my pregnancy all weekend from my parents, at least I don't think they suspect anything.
6. I'm 9w2d already. This pregnancy is kicking my butt though, ugh. DH said to me yesterday "no more kids" which made me kind of sad but in the moment of quesiness I kind of agreed.
7. I want to see that new movie Train Wreck when it comes out. I need a good laugh.
8. I haven't made any real meals or grocery shopped in weeks. I just have no energy, nauseous frequently, and can only eat certain things at certain times. DD and DH have been eating fairly well despite me slacking.
9. DD likes to say baby boss and will also throw in some momma boss' as well, it makes me laugh every time.
1. We joined the mini-van club yesterday and bought a 2015 Honda Odyssey. Our Corollas weren't cutting it, space-wise, for weekend trips (therefore with luggage) anymore. 2. The car is replacing my '99 Corolla, which has power nothing. 3. This is the first brand new car either of us has ever bought. 4. I'm reading the Earth's Children books right now. I'm on the 4th one and recently, one of my online communities was talking about how much the 5th book sucked. Now I'm scared to get to the 5th one. 5. Jurassic World is freaking amazing. Go see it. Right now. 6. It looks like it's going to start pouring out. I hope it does. The humidity feels like it's at 8000% today. 7. I did a ton of washing today - sheets, towels, etc. I'll probably do even more tomorrow. (How exciting, I know.) 8. Birthday shopping is done for the girls (down to the cake supplies). Christmas shopping is respectably underway. (That is, I have about 3 or 4 items purchased per kid already.) 9. My husband introduced me to Minecraft. It's the dumbest game ever, but SO addicting. I was up until 2 am one night building us a house in the game. 10. Ashley has been putting simple, two word sentences together (example: "Bye, Nana!" to my mother) and I'm so thrilled. Kayla is just picking up single words like nobody's business. I have several "new word" notes per day on my calendar that I keep for them for at least 2-3 weeks now for her. Again, so thrilled.
jnetx that sounds so scary! I'm glad no one was physically hurt and they caught the guys but still makes you worry. We haven't been to the pool at all yet (we have a free community pool) and I know LO would love it again this year, I need to get motivated to go.

1. I just got back from a nice walk with DD2. It's finally a cool enough day to spend some time outside!
2. DD1 is at my mom's house for a few days. I miss her, but it's been nice not having to chase her around all day.
3. She hasn't been herself since the baby. She loves her sister and hasn't shown any jealously, but she's become super clingy and suddenly has some pretty crazy separation anxiety. Not being able to pick her up has been really hard on both of us too.
4. Our friends are coming over tonight and bringing dinner!
5. I'm so thankful, because I'm starving and DD2 has not let me put her down today at all!
6. DH is starting a fitness challenge today, and while I'm happy that he's motivated to get in shape, I'm kind of bummed out because I'm only 3 weeks postpartum and I can't play along.
7. I've really struggled to take it easy post c-section. I was so active up until the day that I went to the hospital. I'm trying to enjoy just relaxing with my baby, but I miss running!
8. We took our first overnight trip this weekend. We went to the mountains and both kids slept great thanks to all of the fresh air!
9. This has been a hot summer so far by Canadian standards. I wish that I could go to a pool!
10. DD1 has been living in her kiddie pool in the backyard.
lilqt3929 - sorry you're not feeling well. Hopefully it will pass soon! Renovations make life difficult but are sooo much cheaper when done yourself.
jnetx- you're getting so close! Try not to stress about your delivery. Either option brings you to the same conclusion
@twinstars- congrats on the new wheels! I haven't given a thought to DDs birthday or Christmas yet, I guess it's time to get my rear in gear.
sugarkissed- the PP stage is so hard. How can you not overdo it when you have a toddler running around? Lol. I have slowly been upping the distance I can get away from my DD after telling her "mommy is going to go do x, I'll be right back". It's a lot easier when she can see me leave and come back, but she's slowly getting better when I leave the room.
1. The duplex closed yesterday. No more mowing two lawns, dealing with repairs, or thinking in the back of my head that there's going to be a problem that needs fixing at the worst possible times. It took 12 long weeks.
2. I went out and bought new scrubs today to celebrate.
3. I can only wear scrub pants with lab coats because they do not make a ladies tall scrub top, only tall pants. Why wouldn't a tall woman have a long torso also? Grr!
4. I start back to work Monday and I'm dreading leaving my little girl.
5. I'm really hoping the 67 year old babysitter can handle 2u2, but a part of me wants an excuse to cut back to part time.
6. My other BMB had a UO go seriously wrong a few weeks ago. Lots of intervening by other boards, name calling, etc. It was TB drama all over again. Those of us who were sane over there now have a private board, so I have to juggle between TCF and the new place.
8. I'm sick of watching shark week but my husband is obsessed.
9. I'm 12 weeks PP and ready to lose some baby weight but don't know where to start while breastfeeding. I also can't stop eating all the sweets so that's not helping my cause.
10. I'm so happy to have the Fourth of July over with. While it was great to see family, it's really tiring and semi-stressful so it's nice to be back home and in my old routine.
1. I want to get a new swimsuit for our upcoming trip. La Blanca is brand that I really like. The swimsuit I have in my cart online is expensive. Why swimsuits so expensive?
2. DS is obsessed with balls. Any sport he sees with a ball he watches. He even claps and cheers when any team scores or when he sees the crowd on TV cheer.
3. I try to limit DS tv time. DH on the other hand will put it on so he can text or play some game on the iPad. So annoying. Meanwhile I am doing things around the house.
4. The mosquitos love me. They think I am their free buffet. The bites itch.
5. I need to get my hair cut.
6. I want to get new glasses and contacts. Wow! Contacts are expensive. I need to get the toric lenses.
7. We went to our friends' for July 4th. They had crabs. They were great. Love crabs.
8. It looks like it is going to be a hot week. Our a/c sucks. DH doesn't want to fix it. I think I complain about this each week.

Congrats on the new car! How exciting! And that's quite the upgrade--a '99 to a 2015 (or 2016?)!
We are definitely in a language explosion here too. No two word sentences yet, but he's gone from less than 10 words to over 40 in the last 2 weeks!
Thank you! We have a 2004 Corolla too, which we're keeping. It'll be nice to have the option to use a smaller or larger car, depending on where we're going. I spent all day yesterday feeling sick to my stomach though - as I do before all major purchases. Ha!
Some word explosion going on in your house! Awesome!

Thank you! I'm almost too afraid to drive it - I've never driven a brand new, fresh from the dealer, pristine car before!
With this huge purchase though, I'm actually glad I got in gear early enough to make sure that at least their birthday is more or less completely shopped for. (I feel less bad spending as much as I did, than I would have if I were spending the same amount now.)
1. EVERYONE I see is betting I won't make it to July 31st (my RCS date). Baby is big and low but I really want to hold on.
2. I am feeling extremely exhausted, achy, and over it now though. This pregnancy has been great, and healthier than DD's but with her, I was on bed rest at this point and gave birth next week comparatively
3. My 4th of July was so crummy. I went to my inlaws with DD alone b/c DH was working and his family set me off so bad. They do not respect me at all.
4. DD got tar on her hands and they were insisting I pour paint thinner or gasoline on her to get it off. They wouldn't back off and let me handle it my way (with dish soap that worked fine once I was able to actually try it). DH chewed his dad out and they just keep telling me they love me. I would rather have respect, k thanks.
5. 4th of July was also my 6th wedding anniversary.
6. I'm addicted to Big Brother. I've been watching it for a few seasons but the BB thread on parenting has got me addicted at a new level. I'm now watching the live feeds lol
7. Today seriously feels like Thursday. I can't seem to convince myself that it's Wednesday.
8. My house is a wreck. I need to start nesting so it can be semi decent when I go to the hospital.
9. My poor dog ran hard on the pavement last night and her little paws are all scraped up. DH didn't realize it was happening.
10. I sure could go for a massage. DH said I should come home early today. WOrk is getting very tiring.
