We are borrowing a stroller from our neighbours while we are in AZ. DH took DS for a walk in it and just tipped the front wheels up to get it up over a curb, and the handle broke clean off. Like, the metal piping and everything is just gone. So now what? Their LG is 2, and they said they may be OAD, but that's not the point. We may be on the line for a new stroller. Any suggestions?
That really sucks because it sounds like a defect and nothing you did wrong, but since it happened when you had it, I think you have to offer to replace it out of common courtesy. Hopefully they will understand that there was nothing you did to cause the problem and not ask you to buy a new one, especially since they won't need it for future kids.
No, it was borrowed from the neighbours here in AZ. So no flight damage. We looked at it and it's dated from 2001 manufacturing date. So who knows if we can get parts. We offered to buy them another second hand one from craigslist. And they told us not to bother and not to worry about it... They insist they don't need it anymore. I am kind of wondering if we should at least get them an umbrella stroller or buy their daughter a whole wack of clothes.

I was going to say, I would possibly get a gift card or something if they insisted you not replace. But the umbrella stroller is a good idea, if you know they don't already have one
