Abby is in a toddler bed and Jack is in the crib still comfortably, but within the next year we will need to upgrade Abby to likely a twin and Jack to the toddler bed or a twin I guess. I'm hoping we can do it for Christmas. So I was wondering where everyone got their kids beds and how you like them.
We got Dagny a full size platform bed from Ashley Home Furniture. It's big but we don't plan on ever buying her another bed. It has drawers underneath so between the bed & the closet we were able to get rid of the dresser in her room.
Right now we just have Kayleigh on a twin mattress and box spring on one of those metal frames to keep it off the floor. I'm just going to make her an upholstered headboard at some point.

We also got ours from Ashley furniture. We got a full size, and like britbratjf, it has a bookcase and drawers. We will never buy him another bed. The mattress was from amazon for like $170 and has been just fine for him!
I got ours from a garage sale from a close friend. It's a bunk bed and huge and very sturdy. I'm pretty sure she got it at a furniture store, probably and Ashely or Slumberland since they are close to us. I know it was pretty expensive when they got it and I got it pretty cheap for V for the quality of the wood.

I feel like I've posted this so many times you guys might think I'm trying to sell them, LOL
I want to get LO a Kura bed from Ikea. It converts from a low bed to a small loft bed. When he is a little older I'd like to make a reading nook or something underneath. There are a ton of cute hacks online.
We just have her mattress and box spring on the floor for now. Kid falls off about twice a weeks still. Anyway this summer my sister is bringing up a vintage wrought iron one she found antiquing in Nebraska and we will paint it something cute when we redo her room in a month or so. Either that or I was going to get a Jenny Lind style one from JC Penneys.

I saw this in the store and thought it was so cute! But I was concerned about her outgrowing it one day. DH may want to just get her a bed that will last until she moves out you know. I didn't think to look for hacks online. If I can find cute ones I might be able to convince him we "need" it.

I totally understand that. It's a twin-size bed, from IKEA. I certainly don't expect it to last until he goes to college. But it's only $200 so I think if we can get 5-8 years out of it, and then upgrade him to a nicer full-size, it will be worth it for us.
We have small bedrooms so I like the extra space created under the loft, and that it's not so high of a loft that I'd be worried about him using it as a little kid either.

We have this for Benjamin! We also got the tent thing that goes on top for fun! He likes it! I fully don't intend for this to last until he moves out either. He can use it for a bit and then Abby. I just wanted to get him a fun bed to help with the transition and I didn't want a toddler bed. So we got this one.
We're also getting the Kura bed from Ikea, hopefully this weekend! Our rooms are also small so I like the storage options that will be available when we flip it.

We don't have it yet, but yes I'll put a rail on the side. We just switched from the crib to a toddler bed a month ago or so.
I wanted to buy it for his birthday but we have to replace our patio sliding door and get some gutters repaired so it's been put on hold for a little bit :-(

mommymadness could an adult sleep on the top and not feel too weird. It would be a very rare occasion that we would want to do this, but it would be another positive so I can get DHs approval.

babywinks my sil actually slept on the bed for like 2 months while she stayed with us last summer. It wasn't flipped into a loft though, just the lower option. ( If that makes sense) she is a small adult and it worked fine for her. It was pretty tight for both her and her fiancé to sleep in t together though! Haha

I think I'm going to go get that Kura bed tomorrow! WC: Shane is still in his toddler bed. H and I cant decide how to arrrange the kids rooms. We wanted to get a bunk bed for Aubrey's room because Shane's room is tiny but he hates change and didn't want to give up his room. Plus I can just imagine the fight when he is 12 and he has to go back to the small room!

We got ours at Furnish123 but I think they may be local only. They are Ashley signature. I like the way they look and the beds are very sturdy. I'm not sure how long the dresser and night stand will last. I did get the 5yr warranty to hopefully extend the life of our purchase.
We switched Avery from her crib to a twin when we moved. We have a rail on one side and the other side is against the wall. I was hoping to get full size beds but her room isn't big enough.

L's bed is convertible to a double. We got it from JCP. I've been happy with the quality so far. I still have her in her crib with tot rail. I asked if she wants the rail off or a big bed and she says no. So I guess we'll stick with this!
