We have a dormered space off of our bedroom that is supposed to be DH's office. We've got a desk and sofa in there, but it's a bit of a dumping ground for me because the attic storage space is accessed from there as well. My plan is to get it totally set up for him while he's out of town (home late Sunday) and I need help figuring out what to use for a "door". A true door can be out in because of the peaked ceiling, but I can't figure out the best way to hang a curtain alternative either that keeps it from sliding down the slope either (ideally whatever I end up with covers the whole opening).
Here's a pic looking down the hallway into the space and then standing right in the doorway looking in it. These are from the listing when we bought the home and it was used as a nursery.

Can you use a tension rod?? They come in all kinds of sizes and then you could use a curtain. There would probably be a small space at the top but I don't know if you could actually get any closer.

It's an option, but the problem is the height. DH is 6' and I'm pretty sure the highest point of the peak is just a few inches higher than that, so a rod across any lower would be in his way.

bullybutt, DH wants to be able to close it off so if he's working in there while I'm trying to sleep or something there will be something to dampen out the light and noise. I've told him I'm not worried about that, but I think he also likes the idea of being able to hideaway up there. Also, our bedroom doesn't actually have a door. We're the entire upper level, so no door, just stairs up to our space. @iheartmyshiba that's a good idea. It'd have to be custom because it's a narrower than average opening, but something to consider for sure!

Could you hang little eye hooks along the ceiling to hang little curtain hooks from? You would have to buy a long curtain to hem straight though because of the peaked ceiling. Unless you don't mind that the curtain would be diagonal on the bottom.
I'm no engineer, but wouldn't the curtain slide back "downhill" with this setup?
Yeah, that was my concern. I'm thinking I'll rig up a curtain that somehow holds the top corners in place at the peak, or do a cafe/saloon type door like shibes suggested and he can deal with the top peak area being open. Thanks for the suggestions ladies!
Soooooo I don't think the ceiling is peaked. I think the walls that come together don't line up to put the rod straight across. So it's the walls, not the ceiling that's the issue... ?
