Anyone have carpal tunnel issues? I had an issue with it after I had DD. Of course it was the opposite wrist. Yesterday afternoon my wrist got that achey throbby irritating pain. By the time I got home it was worse. DH rubbed my arm and wrist and it eased up. Sleeping only made it worse. Normally I'd chew half a bottle of Motrin but since that's not an option... I can't go out and get a brace today as I will have installers at my house all day. Any idea for quick remedies to get through the morning/ day?

I'll ask MH once he wakes up. He has carpal tunnel in both wrists and has gone through surgery on both, but they still flare up on him at times. Maybe he'll have some ideas besides a brace and meds. Until then, good luck and hopefully some others will have suggestions.

I highly recommend the braces ASAP. With DS I had the worst case of carpal tunnel, and nights were the worst. Nothing helped but the braces, so get those when you're able.
I also say braces, even though you can't get out right now. I've had it for years in both wrists (confirmed with MRI), but I have a pretty high tolerance for it. I don't want the surgery until I can't handle it anymore (only because I work on a computer all day long and the likely hood of re-occurrence is high). I think there are some stretches you can do to try and relieve the pain temporarily though.
I've never had issues until a little over a week ago. I sleep in the brace and do exercises my doctor recommend. It's helped out incredibly. The first few days I had to wear the braces almost all day, but after a few days I'm only wearing them at night.

Mine are acting up to the point that I cry in pain sometimes. Mainly at night and it's the arm I've always had issues with. I noticed that sleeping with a sweatshirt and keeping it warm helps. The braces won't fit it but I'm actually thinking about wrapping it at night.
