Yup. Love my kid dearly, but really? He was throwing toys, just missing his brother. I tell him to stop. He threw a darn Melissa and Doug metal bug-catcher square in the nose. I screamed in pain, blood just poured out, and then I started crying.
Of course I was home alone. Both boys were freaking out. I tried calling DH at work, and after four times getting his voicemail, he called me back and rushed (45min) home. I tried calling a local friend, but she didn't answer. Luckily, I got things a bit more under control before DH came home.
I guess my kid isn't completely psycho though - he felt awful. He was crying with me and trying to help me and make S stop crying. He keeps asking me if I feel better and giving me kisses.
Hoping he maybe learned a lesson. Damn this age is tough. Or maybe just my kid. Either way - ugh.

Oh man! I don't know how you didn't lose it! I hope he remembers and can learn a lesson about throwing things. I hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs. You might be the first j12 trauma?

Oh No!!! I'm often worried about being injured by one of mine, but I'm more worried about head butting with my little jerks. Ingrid has knocked me right in the chin with her head a few times and once I bit the hell out of my tongue. Now I'll be paranoid that a one will give me a broken nose.

Oh my goodness! I hope the break isn't too bad and that you're starting to feel better. I'm tempted to replace all of Liam's toys with soft, plush toys.
The other day I was sitting on the floor looking down. Well next thing I know I feel a tennis ball hit me right on my eyeball. I never saw it coming. I cried too! It wasn't so much the pain but I was scared there'd be some damage! These kids!
Oh, no! Hope you recover quickly! I had similar story with my oldest one, when he was three he loved to throw rocks in to the water. Big rocks. One slipped of his hand and went straight to my head (I was sitting on the beach). I fell and lost my consciousness...

That sounds stressful and painful. I am glad your H made it home. That is one of my biggest fears. My kids tosses stuff around and hits me with her head all them. A just know one day she is going to really get me good.
