I am currently in bed still. DH left at 7 to proctor the SATs at his school. DS is still sleeping (probably because it stayed up playing in his crib until almost 10). I really want coffee but I am so comfy under these fleece sheets that I don't want to move.
We don't have any exciting plans. Just grocery shopping and such. Apparently it snowed last night? I can hear someone shoveling our building's walkway. I guess it is snowing more tonight too. I don't really mind though because this is the first time it has snowed enough to warrant shoveling all winter!
DD woke up early because DH was up to go play basketball so then I was with her this morning. We went to the market found some legit kale and then DD took a 3 hour nap. It was amazing. Then we had a picnic and went to the pool.
Tomorrow we're going to a different market because there really isn't anything else to do… the weather wasn't oppressive today so I'm hoping for a repeat tomorrow.
I'm trying to decide if we should go to this birthday party today. It starts midway thru nap time so wed be super late. I know DD would have fun but this girls family annoys the shit out of me. Blah decisions
DH had to do training for work today so it's just DS and I. It's hard keeping up with a toddler at 8 months pregnant. I'm going to be exhausted by the time DH comes home, but at least we're having fun. Not much else going on this weekend.

esmerelda ughhhhh my bff always has her ds parties during nap tiMe. I'm always like really?!?!?!
We're headed to breakfast and a farmer's market we've never been to. All dh's idea.
R and i were supposed to meet up with a coworker and her son and a kid's play place but then she came in Thursday and said he was sick. She insisted he'd be fine by this weekend but i told her nope nope not hanging out with you. We JUST all got better and if i get sick again I'll be pissed. Then i thought about it and figured going to a place like that with that many kids is freaking me out germ wise anyways.
Not sure what's on the agenda tomorrow. We're supposed to have "record breaking temps" meaning mid 70s. So I'm probably going to get some clothes out in the sun.
Monday is our 2 year apt so I'm already dreading the shots.
chilibeansm0m its tough because her kids are a bit older and none of them nap anymore. I texted her to let her know we'll be there closer to 5. H is going to stay home while dinner is in the oven. Once the time goes off an hour hell text me and well come home. Its nice living across the street. But still not worth ruining a nap for

chilibeansm0m R should only have to have a finger stick to get hemoglobin and lead levels! I was dreading shots too because I feel like they get them at every damn appointment but then he didn't need any. We do the CDC schedule so she might need them if she's on a different schedule.

This might be more of a FFFC but soon to be XH wanted to hangout with DS so we met him at Whole Foods for lunch. He bought our lunch - and the extra groceries I randomly threw in the cart. I made him leave while DS naps and then he's coming back later so I can go shopping and get my nails done. I kind of feel bad because the only reason I agreed to let him see DS is so he'd buy us stuff and to get my nails done - but then I think about him cheating on me and I don't feel so bad.

Don't feel bad. He's seeing your kid that's what's important, if you get a fee extra perks well you deserve them.
We have been potty training dd this week. I would say she is potty trained. The only issue we have is she seems to pee when she wears pants. If she is naked, no accidents at all. But she has had a couple accidents the last 2 days, only when wearing pants. So we are staying home this weekend to work on that.
We did the 3 day method starting Tuesday. Thursday she only had 2 accidents and those were right before bedtime. So she had gone 11 hrs without an accident. Friday we decided to put pants on her and she had 3 accidents in the morning. After her nap we left her pants off and she was fine the rest of the day. Anybody have any insights?
DD has to get one shot at her 2 year appointment. Is typhoid a normal vaccination or is it just because we're overseas? They didn't draw any blood though so I'm wondering if I should ask about that to get her iron checked.
TheEleventhHour yes, 13 hours ahead so if you notice it's now 4 AM… I've had such insomnia lately. Usually I just lay in bed bored but I had to get up today.

decaflife I don't think typhoid is a normal one. I think it is only recommended for travels to countries where typhoid is a common disease. I remember I had to get a couple of vaccines before living overseas (HepA and something else).

They don't check iron they check for lead at 2 years. Im not sure if lead paint was common where you are so it may not he needed.

I feel like all I've done is bitch and whine this weekend but we're running on only a 15 min nap tops in the car (dh convinced me to let him lay her down) um yeah all she did was destroy the joint for 2 hours when we finally gave up. And we just got out of time out for hitting me in the face. I feel like a failed super nanny today. And dh is zero help. I thought yesterday was bad.

Okay. They checked iron once and I think it was just on the low end of normal so I started giving her some of the iron supplement and will assume if anything it's gotten better. I don't think lead is an issue here so that must be why they didn't do it.

Gotcha I do remember them checking Iron as well. I think at 1 year? But we get letters from the county beofre 2 years hit reminding us that they will get checked for it. They also tested her for it at either 6 months or a year I can't remember. DD also had to get her Hep A shot at this Appointment becuase she was sick at one of her visits so they put it off.

They did check both hemoglobin and lead at DS' 2 year appt with a finger prick. I think it depends on pediatrician really.
Ahh gotcha. I know they did lead as we spoke about it some, I know she put blood into 2 seperate tubes of sorts so maybe they did both. I should go back and read the paperwork.

Happy Sunday ladies!
I am dragging my feet on being productive today. I did make waffles and shower so the day isn't totally lost to my laziness. Now to finalize the shopping list and actually leave the house.

TheEleventhHour that's more than I've done so far. I'm pretty sure today will suck for sleep too. R was up at 630 and i said f it and got up with her since dh was snoring.
I'm going to make breakfast soon and get some laundry out since it's supposed to be high 60s today-they claimed mid 70s but i think it'll still be nice enough to put clothes out.
I did my group run and am now trying to warm up waiting for DH to get him from his marathon training
I've been saying for months that I wasn't going to leave here without doing a 5k…. I have 3.5 months left and even with my vitamin supplements I feel like I'm getting worse again so I'm pretty sure that isn't going to happen. Marathon - bravo to him.
