I had a baby I nannied for that I called swifter baby. He had hardwood floors and a very sheddy cat and he would drool a ton and cruise around on his belly, swiftering the cat hair. So gross, but effective?

G wouldn't use the pedals on his trike until he was almost 3. He just didn't *get* pedaling. Lo seems to understand the concept but shows no desire to assist in moving his large frame. Stroller, push trike and bike seat on mommy's bike all the way. I tried to get him to put his feet on the pedals on the push trike and he yelled at me and put his feet firmly back on the foot rest bars.

We've achieved sleep. DS fell asleep on a ride. So it takes about 6 hours in a park before we've exhausted DS.

Could I take a layer of cotton (the charm pack I found) and use fleece (also found in my stash) & "quilt" it without batting?
Maybe like stitch in the ditch or something...?

I'm behind but re: bug repellant. Eucalyptus supposedly works for repelling mosquitoes. When I worked at Bath & Body Works we had people come in to buy the Eucalyptus Spearmint stuff cause they swore by it for repelling mosquitoes. I've used just the lotion before and felt like it worked. It's in their Aromatherapy like and has the essential oils.

I'm out of lotion though and haven't bought anymore. I just use whatever we have at the house. I think right now I have the Cutter brand that sprays on dry and is okay for sensitive skin. I'm not really sure.

We cleaned out my aunt's liquor cabinet that hasn't been opened since the 90s!! We are taking the bottles home with us. Any guesses on what will have gone bad?? There are bottles of everything....

I heard about that! So scary! I always keeps my keys in my hand, pocket or dangling from my mouth (if I have no pockets - it works!) when I'm putting my kid in the car. I locked myself out of my car once because my doors lock themselves when the key is in the ignition.

Oh yeah and about the bug spray, if you feel icky about putting it on your skin, try putting just on your clothes or LOs clothes. I find that very effective. Just watch it if you do use deet on anything nylon/poly it will melt raincoats and watch bands.

Er mah gawd my friend who lives in Uganda just sent me all these pictures of her son they are in the process of adopting from an orphanage there and I want to eat his adorable little face. He is a just a pudgy little ball of 8 month old loving. And he has the best baby fro ever. I had the whitest bald baby boys ever and I just want to rub babies with little fros heads so badly, but it's kind of weird to walk up to other people's babies here and rub their heads. Now I'm thinking I need to add Uganda as a stop in my "payback" trip to India next year.

Depends. Are you thinking of putting a binding on it?  What you could do is sew around all the sides of the cotton and fleece right sides together, leave a gap, and turn it.  Then you could quilt it, so to speak, and sew around the perimeter to close the gap or hand sew it shut.

Thanks. I'm really impressed and very proud of him. Usually his ADD kicks in and he has a hard time finishing projects around the house. He really committed this time and the reward was a very very happy little girl. She adores it!!

But does he get upset if you don't congratulate or give him a "thumbs up"??
My husband told me that im messed up for not congratulating him on his promotion via linked in. I told him that that would be cheesy. Haha
