So it's official! DH and I have been matched with a baby boy expected to be born the end of August! It's has been such a whirlwind of emotions the past week, but on Thursday we met with our CAS workers, and have been matched! It is a bit of aa unique situation (as most CAS adoptions can be). BM has made the adoption plan, but did not want to be involved in choosing the AP. The pregnancy counsellor will meet with her this week and we have asked if she can share our profile book with her, as well as if she might feel comfortable to meet us. This is her 3rd baby, and both of her other two boys were adopted as infants by the same family. We are thrilled to have already made contact with the other adoptive family! We feel so blessed to be growing our family through adoption, not only gaining a little boy, but his siblings and their family and BM (in whatever way she feels comfortable! ). We happen to be on vacation this week, so it's been great to take the time to let it all sink in. Then back home to prepare for a newborn!
