Our 1 year anniversary is on Sunday, and we decided not to buy gifts but to make gifts (saving money, womp womp). The one year gift is supposed to be paper. Help me!! I already did envelopes with a date night for each month at Christmas. I'm fresh outta crafty ideas.
Thanks ladies! My sil gave us our first dance lyrics in a frame as part of our wedding gift and mil did the map hearts for Xmas, but I love those ideas. I am going to try (key word: try) your suggestion on scrapbook paper GeekBeagle. I am also playing around with doing something with a map of Puerto Rico, where we went on our honeymoon.
DH gave me a photobook with our wedding and engagement pictures inside. Check retailmenot.com for coupons. Snapfish just had one that I missed out on (because I didn't get my photos uploaded and organized on time) for a free photobook. Not super expensive for a small paperback one. Less then $15 for the smallest (IIRC). The one I'm putting together for him (still working on it. it's a lot of photos to go through) is based on the Carl and Ellie's Adventure Book from the movie Up. We've been together for 10 years, so it's a lot of pictures and a lot of the dates are wrong on the files.
You could do a small handmade book of 366 things you love about YH or short love notes or sweet sayings. One for each day of the year, plus your next anniversary. Get some pretty colored paper for the inside and cardstock for the outside, or an inexpensive notebook.
