I'm trying to muster the energy to go run, and then telling myself I can't go to happy hour with my mom and her friends if I don't run, then thinking I could always run after happy hour (which of course I won't.) I've tapped all my motivational sources (guilt, empowerment, fear) and I'm coming up empty. In 20 minutes it will be too hot to run, so I'll think about it some more.
What's that saying? Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels? Um, pizza does. And pie. And Taco Bell.
Amen. Everything tastes bette than skinny feels! The only time in my life I was skinny, I was young and listless and angsty. I would not trade one pound for that! I'm not saying fuck it, but I am so happy now a little fat. One of my favorite memes says something like "I stay a little fat because it wouldn't be fair if I was this smart, pretty and skinny."
Everything in moderation. I've made changes in my diet, I've cut out soda, I do have one every now and then, I use more turkey and chicken and lean beef, more veggies and fruits and I've already noticed a difference in the way my pants fit. Dieting is super hard for me because I love food, once it isn't so sweltering out I will start walKing again

I hate exercising. Walking is fine and I walked a lot when I lived on my own, but I despise running and I don't particularly like swimming either. I need to eat more fruit.
I'm kind of glad I work tonight. I'm counting down the minutes until the nanny gets here so I can go back to bed.
Yesterday sucked. We were dealing with storm clean up most of the day. The trees in our yard were a lot more damaged than we thought so my dad and H couldn't get it all themselves, so now we have to pay between $600 - 800 to get that taken care of!! Also when I was driving home a rock flew out of a gravel truck and cracked my windshield in a big circle.
The thing I hate most about pumping is that it takes up all my free time at work. I used to be able to take a nice walk during my lunch break, but now I'm stuck in a windowless office.
DH is back on his ultra low carb diet. At least this time around he is now in charge of making dinners, so I don't have to try to figure out what he will and will not eat.
My sister is getting married in January and I am MoH. Gotta get back in shape. I'm giving up weeknight drinking and junk food at work.

Is your sister's wedding still going to be crazy, theme-wise?

Seriously adulting is hard.
Call your home insurance. Some of them cover tree removal.

I've started a new post-it note system for my to-do list. This way, I can rearrange the notes as needed without having to rewrite the list 4 times a day.
angnjon I'm reading what you said yesterday and I cannot fathom you telling someone to shut the fuck up. NO! This is just not true. And also how does someone bitch about you taking the last of something on a fucking all you can eat buffet? Lol...hilarious
Here's the thing, I really am a nice person & super easy to get along with. But I will NOT let or tolerate anyone disrespecting me or my family! My big mouth has gotten me into trouble quite a few times. And yes I ABSOLUTELY told her to STFU right after I called her a bitch! My husband LOLed so hard & said "there's my feisty wife I know & love" Also, FTR I did not take the last of the sushi, there was at least another 20-30 pieces still there & I think that's what really pissed me off. It's not like I took ALL of it!

I tried since the tree didn't actually fall on our house, thankfully, they won't cover the removal.
My sister had her baby this morning via RCS. Baby Sammy arrived at 9:38 am weighing 10 lbs 9.1oz & 20.5" long. He's HUGE & adorable! Mom & baby are doing well.
ajh1230 damnit! Sorry to hear that! It's never fun to spend money on crap like that. Does your HOA cover any of that? saraml13 when I wanted to drop a little more weight (and working out like crazy wasn't cutting it) I cut carbs at dinner only, and cut down to one drink a day. I was training for a triathlon and burning like 3000 calories a week, though, so you may need to cut a bit more Also, sorry that pumping is ruining your life.

A coworker just lost 180 lbs. She ate grapefruit for breakfast, a chicken breast with lite salad for lunch and no dinner. She cut out sugar, carbs, and alcohol. She also worked out 1 hr a day.
I'm not that dedicated.
Sooo...she starved herself? I feel like that's not going to stick. Call me an asshole
It isn't going to last. It's too restrictive. I'm big on keeping a food diary. And everything in moderation. Kraft Mac and cheese is yummy but best not to have daily. I also try to meal plan I think it helps keep things healthy.
Ok ladies who give yogurt to LO..did you do baby yogurt, regular plain yogurt, or Greek yogurt? And what age did you start. I've said this before I'd ask our pedi however he said not until 12 months so I'm going against him but don't know where to start. Thanks in advance!

We haven't done it yet, but our pedi said baby yogurt is fine at 6 months. She said she likes the brand Target carries. DS was so purée-averse for 2 months that I didn't bother, but I might get some now that he's eating everything well.

I give baby yogurt, but really you just need to buy any kind of plain full fat yogurt. We started at 6.5 months.
ETA: regular yogurt, Greek yogurt, all fine as long as it's full fat and has no artificial sweeteners like sucralose.
mrsbabe614 have you started your new work schedule? How are you doing with being at home with Dd more?
I have! It's fucking amazing! I got so much done just the first week of it. I love all my extra time. She's sick right now so that sucks ass but I'm so happy now! Thanks for asking :-)
