H and I met in college. I am a year older and was at a fair trying to recruit new freshmen to join an organization I was in and I pointed at this guy I knew who was walking with H and said 'come here!!' H literally stopped in his steps, pointed at himself and said 'me?!?' like he couldn't believe I would be speaking to him. Haha. I said 'Sure! Come on over.' We then ended up in a class together and did a group project together. We were both dating other people, but not for long! We dated for over 7 years before getting married.
It's a cute story: We were in a college astronomy class together with 400 other people. We were both a couple minutes late one day and we're standing in the back of the dark auditorium looking for seats. We ended up sitting together, and chatting a bit after, and I called my mom after I got home that day and said "I met a boy." It was in the stars.

Five year high school reunion. We ran in different crowds in HS (he was popular, sporty, and was even in the "popular carpool"), so I knew who he was, but he didn't know who I was. Nailing him down was a lot of fun for poor old outcast me
I was working a double at the strip club that night when I stepped out for my smoke break. Some man was hitting on me and wasn't taking no for an answer. He stepped in a knocked the guy out. The rest is history.

We went to different high schools but had known each other since first grade. Our dads worked together. He came into my job one night and got my number from a co-worker. My junior prom was our first date. We've been dating since.

We met through mutual friends however love didn't blossom for another 2 years. I was 23 and he was 25 when we met..so neither was ready for anything serious. So luckily those 2 years allowed us to grown up and the rest was history.
I was on lunch break and stopped to pick up some work supplies for once I started training. He rounded the corner just as I walked past an aisle, and we almost collided. We started talking. He was with a buddy of his (now LO's godfather), and I remember thinking how contrasting their personalities were.
We met in high school. I'm a year older than him, but we both did stage crew for the theater program and the academic competition team. We were super cool, yo.
We were both camp counselors. Summer Romance. Except... I didn't really hang out with him until the end of the summer. Then once when I was drunk, I tried to kiss him and he wouldn't because I was drunk. Then finally - on the last night of camp, he walked me back to the camp and made a deal with God. There was a shortcut back to camp over train tracks - that to me were deserted because I'd never seen a train there and there were tall weeds growing over them. He said to himself (or God?) that if a train came and stopped us, he would kiss me. And it did...
ETA: He didn't even tell me that story until we had been dating a few months.
We met in 9th grade and were on kind of opposite ends of the same group of friends. Throughout highschool he was such a Casanova, he dated 4 of my close friends and a bunch of other girls but nothing too serious. We were not even remotely interested in each other, just friends. We ended up at the same college together but didn't hang out much until we reconnected on live journal, of all things, in our Jr year. Then one night I was working late during homecoming weekend and I got locked out of my apartment. He was the only person in town that I could think of who might be awake and sober at 4am so I called him and he was. We hung out all night, just walking around town, and then watched the homecoming parade together in the morning. The rest is history.
I still have the flower he randomly picked and put in my hair that night. It will have been 10 years ago this fall
We met at a mutual friends house. He was 17 and I was 20. I didn't consider dating him or anything at first but we had great intellectual conversations that day, more than I've had with anyone else my age at the time. His grandparents were there as was my family. He was going to go to Berkeley and I was going to go to San Jose for school. My dad and his grandfather were talking about some website and my dad was spelling out to his grandfather and they were confusing each other so I got a piece of paper and wrote the website down and on the other side I put my name and number. I gave it to DH as he was leaving. He then gave it to his grandfather without checking the paper. Once his grandfather saw my number he gave it back to DH and he texted me as I was on my way home.
Through mutual friends. Funny story, on the night we met I told one of our mutual friends that I thought my H was cute. My friend told me that we had nothing in common and would never work. That was 9 years ago.
We met in middle school. We both played basketball and hung around the same crowd. H is a lot more reserved than I am, and I was the outgoing, flirty girl. I started flirting with him because he had the coolest blue eyes I had ever seen (very serious relationship traits for a middle school relationship). We started "going out" and thought it would last a week. 14 years later, we're married and have a baby.
H and I met at a party. We were both dragged there and didn't really have know anyone. We were also both 5 years older than everyone else. The ice was broken when I pretty much had to sit in his lap in the car to get to the club everyone decided to go to in not enough vehicles. We spent the whole evening talking and dancing.

We met through mutual friends at church summer camp !!!! Yeeehaw! I saw him and thought "I WANT to know this boy". We spent the entire week ditching all activities and sitting and talking. I got his number and then never used it after camp. Then we reconnected on MYSPACE a month later and have been inseparable ever since (except for a little 6 month break-up, cause, yanno, high school).
