I always wanted something more cutesy growing up but now I don't know. I guess I have known myself for Kaitlyn as so long that I don't know what I would be, although I do really like Bridget for some reason. I like a lot of B names, so probably something in that family.

My name starts with "Chris" and I get called Christina, Christine, Kristen, and Christa interchangeably. I don't love it, but I guess it's a quick way to judge whether a person is worth your time. If they can't be bothered to learn my name, then I don't really need to bother with them.
I've never been a big fan of my name but I'm attached to it now lol. however, everyone in my family has names that all start with the same letter (this is not a joke, grand parents on down) so I would pick something that didn't start with that letter if I had to change. When we were trying to decide on dds name I insisted that we didn't even bother looking at names that's started with the traditional family letter lol.
I have always been fine with my name. It's an older name and the only person I ever met with my name growing up was in her 80s. It is easy to pronounce and spell (it has one variation but mine is the default). However, there are several names that rhyme with mine, one of which in particular was much more common than mine, so when I would tell people my name, they'd invariably think it was the rhyming name. Interestingly, my name has experienced a resurgence and I commonly meet kids seven and under who share my name. In fact, at least two A14ers have kids with my name. For the rest of my life everyone who sees my name on paper will probably assume I'm 30 years younger. When I was younger my default fake name (a la Regina Phalange) was Allison so if I ever needed to change my name I'd probably go with that, for that reason.
But I hated my name growing up. It always identified me as ethnic in a WASP town, and people often mispronounced or added letters to it. I always wanted a common name like Amy or Michelle. However, I love my name now, and it suits me.

I can't stand my name. It's never been a popular name but is common enough that people usually know someone with my name. I don't know what I would rename myself though. I think my parents just had terrible name choices for the three of us. Seriously they are all pretty terrible.

This is me exactly! I had a professor call me The wrong version for almost an entire semester and I gave up correcting her eventually. It is like they only see the letters they want to see.
