So. Tired. Sir cries a lot slept crappy last night. I can't bring him into bed with me in the morning either because he would literally crawl straight off the bed. When H is there we can both manage because we are on either side. Nap is DEFINITELY happening. I was up late last night finishing everything I needed to do to get caught up on work. It was so much easier to do it after liam was asleep for the night and H wasn't around.
He is coming home tonight but won't be arriving till 1 am :-(. Sooo when liam is up for the day again I am in charge. I think I will take him to the cafe and surprise H with some yummy breakfast.
zengal forgot to mention. You got your hair done, right? That means you have now lapped me three times haha. I look at pics of when liam was born and I had a perfect amount of balayage going on. Fourth months later it was still looking good. Now it's past my bra strap, won't curl with a curling iron and now my blonde doesn't start till my chin.
I did trim my own hair in the salon a coule weeks ago, but I need a full on cut and color. Maybe by his first birthday? Lol

Good morning ... can someone please pass me all of the coffee?? LO was up at 10:30, 11:30, Idon'trememberwhenthirty. I actually have no idea when DH brought him back to bed. LO rolled over and wanted to nurse at 5:30 am, when I had to be up at 5:50 am. So yeah ... coffee ... I need all of the coffee.
I have been thinking about weight loss a lot recently (thanks Nordstrom sales girl). Its not that I'm overweight but that I need to tone up. Because I was high risk when pregnant I wasn't able to work out much. I managed my weight by walking, which I still do. But I think I need to start weight training again. I'm seriously considering rejoining crossfit - though I have been advised by my former physical therapist to avoid it due to an old back injury - but I think I can manage. MH has been doing crossfit for years and loves it so I know he'd be thrilled if I joined again. Its just expensive. *sigh* First world problems.
Edited to add: jjh1119 - YAY for DH coming home!! It never occurred to me LO would roll right off the bed if DH was gone. Yikes! pixie523 - NOOOO to summer colds!! Boo
Yeah I got my hair done again jjh1119. The cut I got last time was awesome, but it's one that needs maintenance. And I got color this time too- my balayage was just on the very tips since I got it cut! Will your hair make it four more months? Haha! pixie523 admitting it is the first step in recovery. ninergirl52 I hate that the Nordstrom lady got to you.
ninergirl52 please don't let that lady get to you. I know it's hard. I am positive you look great! If you want to exercise more of course go ahead! Be healthy! But don't go crazy.
zengal did you cut it short? I basically look very... Very... "Boho chic" lately with how damn long it is. The hair loss is starting to go away so I have a nice halo of frizz around my hairline too. The split ends complete the look, though I have cut a few of those out.
i told my boss how long it's been and she said she is planning another hair day for us lol. I know I aboslutey can just make an appt and pay for a service. But I paid 25k in hair school. That means a lifetime of free freakin services!
ninergirl52, girl I feel you. I quit my gym when I was super duper pregnant because I wasn't using it, and haven't rejoined because uh... money. I told myself I'd just find a yoga studio and pay as I went. Well, that shit hasn't happened either. I'm doing my first race post baby (just a 5k) in two weeks and I"m hoping that helps me find my running spark again. It's hard to find the energy to work out when you're up a quadrillion times a night.
Guys... I had to google balayage; and have decide you fancy.
So yesterday was my breast ultrasound. There was a doctor doing the scan, so I got results immediately. She could feel the lump but the u/s only showed a sack of milk. I guess I have a clogged duct, because that lump is there right after feeding LO or pumping. There is no pain and the lump had been there for months. The doctor didn't have many recommendations. She said I could try massaging it, but if I continue to do nothing it should eventually go away. Thank you everyone for your T&Ps.
Last night I was reading an article that mentioned what some of the Amazon prime deals are. It said more than $99 off a Roomba. DH and I started discussing whether or not we should get one. Then this morning i see which one is in sale and how much it was. I convinced myself that I really wanted and needed one. By the time I had DH convinced we should get it, it was sold out.

sjp03 - SOOO glad to hear its a clogged milk duct. jjh1119 - You completely crack me up, "purposeful roots" = love it! And thank you for the kind words. I just haven't been happy with my size (could care less about my actual weight) but the c-section did weird things to my body and I haven't done much to fix it. Dh actually has a gym in our garage, we've been talking about me starting to work out with him. But I get you on the time issue. Also LOL to Liam pooping under his jumper. pixie523 - Good luck on your 5k, good for you!! I started running again with the C25k (couch to 5k app) but then life happened and I didn't get very far. Its the silliest things that suck my time up or keep me from getting out. I just need to be better focused.
ninergirl52, I have two fitbits on my cart right now- amazon deal you get 25 dollar gift card for each. I haven't pulled the trigger but I think it will help me with accountability. I do not want H to have way more activity on his than mine, so the mini competition might kick my butt into gear. I'm doing one of those 5K's with all the obstacles in October so I need to do something before there. Or hope to be knocked up and won't be able to do it
My hair is layered now, with the longest one at shoulder-length and the shortest way way short. This is to get the curls all bouncy and covering up my bald spots. Seriously. Gah, I'm a sad hair case. But the good news is the color is so pretty now! jjh1119 I feel like your boss needs to get on the ball, between scheduling a hair day and telling your front desk to follow policy. pixie523 hurray for racing! As much as I enjoy running, I need that carrot of the race entrance fee to keep me motivated. It IS so hard to find the energy. Last night I ran after baby went to bed. Only the afternoon triple latte was responsible for that one because I sure didn't think that was possible. There's a 28-day yoga/mindfulness challenge that I printed out and keep saying I want to do. But yeah, I just keep saying it. sjp03 It's the first time I've been happy to hear about a clogged duct! Good good! A hiding pooper!!! Bwahahahaha!!!

So excited it was just a clogged Mille duct and nothing more serious.
I spent the afternoon in my classroom and got work done because I made a to do list. Last night at 11 PM I broke down crying because I feel so behind on set up, I didn't get my craft goals met, I feel permanently behind on house stuff and that I don't do enough with DD. DH was great helping me calm down and pointing out all the ways I'm succeeding.
MsNicole06, hugs. Hope you got a lot done. I'm sure you are balancing everything just fine. I'm glad your H was able to help you calm down. You're doing great!
I'm up finishing a bunch of stuff for work. I missed sending out TWO invoices last MONTH. I can't believe it. Partially my fault, partially our engineer because he didn't tell me he shipped those products. Trying to get my ducks in a row over here.
Sounds like many of us need a breather, and maybe a reminder of the kick-ass job we've done growing and raising these babes. Alright, so a few details of work and leisure slip through the cracks every so often. Does it really matter in the long run? Our babes are secure in their attachments and healthy and making gains, and that's the stuff that will last a lifetime.
Being able to check things off makes a huge difference and I feel so much better today. I'm always just so amazed at how hard it is to do name tags and cut bulletin board pieces with DD now. I tried one day while DH was at training to take her to my room and it was horrific.
-Never heard of balayage before today -I also have that layer of super short hairs growing back in. It looks like my bangs were singed in a fire lol. - sjp03, Yay! That is a relief I'm sure! - zengal, you are awesome and so encouraging!
