I hope its ok to ask a question here. I've read the thread about medically assisted miscarriage, but I'm looking for some reassurance I guess.
I was told to take the first dose (4 pills total) vaginally. DH helped me get them where they needed to be. I'm confident they are far enough in. I started having some really light twinges of cramping right away. The cramping has gotten slightly more intense but not unbearable, also it's mostly back pain. There are occasional twinges of cramps in my abdomen. So far I have not passed anything. I feel a lot of pressure when I use the restroom, but nothing yet. The first dose was taken at 7:10 this morning so it's been roughly 4.5 hours. I'm just really wanting the process to start so it can be over with.
Can someone please reassure me that things are progressing but just slower than I anticipated?
I apologize if this is not the place to ask this type of question. Please let me know and I will delete the thread.
I personally did not use the cyotec but when considering it, I had a long talk with my doctor. I was told it can take up to 48 hours, although it typically happens within 24. He also said sometimes a second dose is needed. Did your doctor advise when to insert a second dose?
About 2 hrs after I posted, I started bleeding. I've passed a few clots so far. I'm supposed to insert the second dose 24 hours after the first dose. So in the morning I'll take the second dose. This is the hardest thing I've ever done.

((Hugs)) I hope everything is going ok today. My dosage was a little different than yours. I took 6 doses, 4 hours apart, over a 24 hr period. I started bleeding after my second dose; however, I did not pass the sac until 3 days later.

Thanks. I continued bleeding through the night and it has picked up again now. I'm most scared about passing the sac. I'm desperately hoping it happens today, I just want that part to be over. I am a bit concerned because when I went to the restroom a bit ago there was a pill on the TP. It crumbled easily, but it was still basically intact. I'm worried that means the medicine will not be as effective. I've been able to rest a bit today, but now the pain is getting worse again so it's harder to be comfortable and rest. I really appreciate everyone's support.

How are you doing?
Thanks for asking. ** WARNING: mention of living child below**
I spoke with my case manager this morning and she thinks I passed everything when I first started bleeding, based on what I described. I think I just had it built up in my head to be more painful and bloody based on things I had read. I had no previous experience so I wasn't sure what to expect.
My bleeding is pretty light today and I'm not in any physical pain. I Went for a walk with DH and DS this morning and am planning on getting out of the house for a bit. I'm trying to slowly get into my regular routine. It seems wrong to do that, maybe, but I also can't just sit around being sad. I don't know what's right. I will probably be posting other questions about TTCAL and such eventually. I hope that's ok. This has been a nightmare emotionally. I so appreciate you all.

Whatever makes you feel better is right. You can't put added pressure on yourself that you should be doing a certain thing or feeling a certain way. As you said, it is a nightmare already.
