Advice needed about childhood friend

I need some opinions on what to do. A little background: I have a best friend since 4th grade. I moved to another state in high school and we always kept in touch. We've visited each other a few times too. The last time I spoke with her was when I told her I was pregnant with DD. We've only texted happy birthday to each other in the 2 years since. I have tried calling, but she is notoriously hard to get a hold of. I really don't think it has anything to do with me having kids, because she doesn't want any.

Fast forward 2 years and I am missing our friendship! I sent her a FB message 3 weeks ago asking what happened to us? If I did something wrong to please tell me and that I miss her.

There was no response. Should I text her or call her and leave a message, again she just doesn't usually answer. Would you just let it go? Any help is welcome, I'm at a loss and just don't know what to do.

If she has read it and not responded then give her time to respond. If she doesn't respond then try to move on the best way you can. No matter what you do, some people are only in your life for a reason or a season. I've been there and it hurts. Wishing you the best.

I've read messages or texts then totally forgotten about them. So, maybe send the text asking when is a good time to call and see if she replies.
