Wow that is way early to be awake @mrsjohnmarston!
H and I are going to Amish country today. We will hopefully find some end tables and a dresser. We are also taking a cooler bag with us, and we will hit up the meat and cheese shops too.

Can't believe others are up now on a Saturday morning! I thought I was the only one. I've been up since 3:30 am to catch a 6 am flight. This is going to be a long day. Hopefully I can sleep on the plane!
I've been wanting to get in shape and I started going to the gym this week. I feel like I need a goal to reach so that I stick with it. So I decided that I want to be able to run a 5k.
I'm not sure where to start though. I'm not a runner and I'm not very fit at all. I tried doing intervals of jogging and walking but my hips are killing me. Like I said, I'm very out of shape.
I know we have some runners on the board. Do y'all have any tips for a beginner?
Have you tried the Couch to 5K program? I started it a couple years ago. I'm also not a runner and not fit at all. It was doable the way they have it set up. I didn't finish it, and I never ran a 5K, but I could have if I had chosen to stick with it!

Alternating between walking and jogging is a good way to get started. Also you might want to check out a Couch to 5k program! Those are really helpful in getting people started with running when they don't have a lot of running experience.

Thanks! I usually have a really hard time sleeping on planes but I'm hoping that I'm tired enough today that I'll be able to nap for a little while.

I'll have to look that up. I've heard about it before but forgot.
Ultimately we are headed to the Outer Banks with DH's entire family. We are flying to Philly first to meet up with his brother and brother's fiancé, then we will drive with them the rest of the way. I'm so excited for a week on the beach!!!!
@mrsjohnmarston I did couch to 5K last year and loved it. I ran a bunch of 5Ks and some longer distances. I hate running (still) but it made it doable for me. Essentially any combination of jogging and walking will help, just slowly increase the jogging time, give yourself a day off in between. It might also help to do some strength training or other exercise in between runs to balance it out.
We have a wedding today and currently MH is grumpy at me for something so very very dumb I won't even explain it...so I'm heading to the barn and then I go get glammed up so I can just avoid him most of the day and hopefully he can T Swift himself and shake it off.

IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!

Download the nike+ running app! It tracks your runs and has a "coach" that tells you what to run to work up to a 5km. You can challenge friends. Earn badges for doing certain things. You can set it up so that as you run it posts to your do that your going for a run. Then every time someone likes that post while your running your phone/iPod will cheer you on. I love it. lol also I found that 2km was a breakthrough point for me. I went from 2 to 5 km in just a couple days cuz I kind of just settled its a rythym so don't give up! Also also, find a running buddy. I'm less likely to flake out on my run if I know I'm meeting someone. HTH!

My youngest son decided he needed to eat at that time. I finally got him back in his crib an hour later and just as I was drifting back to sleep, he decided to get up for the day. I'm drinking lots of coffee today.
What kind of ball does your husband play?

Slow pitch it's lob ball with a mat - we both play. This weekend he is playing with his work team so they can practice before military provincials. Usually we both just play on civilian teams though.

Good morning! I have a baby shower to go to today that I am really not looking forward to. I'm going with my mom and sister and my mom has been really weird lately hinting that she wants me to have a baby. I'm sure it will only be worse today. Plus baby showers have been really tough for me to go to lately and it seems like I have one every single month.
Other than that, not a whole lot going on today. I think I had some kind of weird virus Thursday and Friday. My back and abdomen were killing me and I felt nauseous. I had a major headache last night too. I'm feeling much better this morning though, so hopefully it's out of my system.
Good morning everyone DS got up at 7. I swear this kid is never going to sleep in. We even stayed up late last night watching big hero 6.
The dude is getting a haircut this morning and then we're going to my niece's birthday party this afternoon. We're under a heat advisory today. Anyone else?
Yesterday I took my temp, and I had a fever of 101*. I wasn't surprised since Thursday when we got home from some errands, I just wanted to sleep and I slept through Big Brother (*gasp*). I called out again, which I hate doing. I just get annoyed because a lot of people in my office go to work sick and then get everyone else sick. When I worked alone in my own office, I had perfect attendance for three years. Now that I'm in a cube farm, I've used three sick days.
Today I'm still going to take it easy, my temperature is back to normal but I'm still feeling crappy. We don't have much to do this weekend except for grocery shopping. Our Amazon order is supposed to be coming in today so we'll play Ticket to Ride.
youdontsay my dogs wake me up at 6:30 every morning, without fail. After they go outside they're right back to sleep while I lay in bed wishing I could fall back asleep. So annoying!

We're at the lake and the weather was supposed to be perfect today for boating and swimming. This morning I check the weather and there's a huge storm rolling through at 2!! Ugh so mad.
I'll tell you what I won't be doing, and that's spending the day with my SIL as was planned. We just rolled out of bed. I'm going to make coffee and banana nut muffins.
The weather here sucks today. I just want one Saturday where it's nice out and I can lay in the pool all day.
Also, I noticed a coupon for a Whopper meal for two for $8.99. I asked MH what that was about. Apparently, last night before I fell asleep, I told him I wanted a Whopper for dinner. He then tells me to go into the fridge. There is all these deli meats and cheese. I'm like "wtf did you buy these for?" Yesterday morning I asked him to buy them alone with ginger ale and saltines. I told him, next time I have a fever over 100* to question every request because wow.....
