Good morning ladies I would also like to opt out. I'm not sure how much I will be able to post this week as my work schedule is jam packed (AGAIN), something's going to have to give there soon.
Mondays are so busy at work. Bleh. But I'm going to stop by the dollar store on my way home and pick up one of those swimming noodles, to put under the fitted sheet at the edge of my bed so baby doesn't roll off! I've been using my body pillow as the barrier and it just takes up a lot of room (so MH says). I hope the day goes well for everyone!
Good morning! I loathe Mondays. Mainly because I work 11 hours on Mondays and it makes me crabby.
I've been feeling blue. I don't like this feeling. I think it is mainly because I've been struggling with the fact that we are done having kids. I know that I have my hands full now, but I still have that nagging feeling.

l8rg8r - hugs and 11 hours is a long day! spikesmom & zengal - I agree. Looks like somebody has a case of the mondays. lol
I am so beat and I think I destroyed my stomach by partaking in a few too many champagne jello shots. DH gave me the go ahead, first drink I have had since before I was pg. I have always been a light weight. Like one glass of wine will do it. Huge family get together. It was so much fun! My uncle was speaking Italian to Isaac and telling him he must use his hands when talking. Isaac mimicked his hands and started yelling loudly. It was adorable.

I'd like to start over only if it means I can get more sleep. For some odd reason Mondays are not bad work-wise for me. Which is a good thing today because my mom can't come over to watch LO, so my neighbor and I are doing a little trading. I'm watching her kiddos (while they sleep right now) and she's going to watch LO for an hour while I take 2 customer calls. I blocked my calendar the rest of the day. DH was on call over the weekend and got called into work late last night. LO was up every 20 minutes until around 12:30 am when DH finally got home and took him for me (husband of the year). I've got to figure something out with LO. He is sincerely the most restless sleeper ever. Just thrashes around so much. When we bring him back to bed he ends up kicking or punching DH and I in his sleep. I am a bit at a loss as to what to do with him right now.
ninergirl52 I do not know what I would do if baby was a thrasher. She won't sleep in the crib. So I'd probably have to go with a straight jacket. Punching mom and dad is *not okay!*
Last night was terrible. My normally good sleeping baby would not sleep at all. For the first time he ended up sleeping in our bed, which is not the best bed for bed sharing. We have a king size so there is plenty of space. But out mattress has a pretty cushy pillow top. When we would put LO between us, he would roll towards my husband. DH ended up getting even less sleep then me. The timing really stinks since he has some very important work meetings today.
I have a case of the Monday blues. Baby is crawling, sitting up, eating solids and is getting to be a big girl. She's got a couple of mosquito bites over the weekend. Daycare lady is going to fuss.
It's predicted to be hot, hot, hot today. AF arrived and it's making for wardrobe challenges.

+1 for skipping today, this week, working.
Hope everyone had a good week. I was MIA last week because I had "staycation". My parents went away and they watch LO so I had to take off and got to play SAHM for the week. We went to the beach, snuggled, and had lots of mommy/baby time. We got a new coffee table (soft sides instead of our old glass top), I FINALLY finished haning up all of LO's things in his room, got some gardening and deeo cleaning done. I got to cook realy dinner all week. Now I'm back at work and it's the absolute pits. Feels like going off maternity leave all over again. I swear Lo gave me pouty lip when DH took him to my parents this morning.
FX...DH has interviews again tomorrow. Send some good juju please!!!! I can't take this commute!! This is the one where he almost had the job last year, they flew him halfway across the country for final interviews and ended up going with the other guy. Other guy screwed up and recently lost the position. I'm pretty sure me being pregnant was a factor in them not hiring DH back then because the timing with the training he would need fell too close to LOs birth.....but they'll never admiti it. Just hoping it comes through because this is a position DH really wants.
gldnbearz, I was also wondering where the heck my tiny little baby went?! He's crawling all over, starting to really show emotions like happy and confused, even mad. He started cruising along the couches this week and if he's on the couch being held he wants down. He'll arch his back so he can slide off of you/the couch to get to the floor and is actually sticking his landing to stay standing up!!
sjp03, Also kind of stinking at the sleep thing lately. He's going down later and waking more often. Sometimes wants a MOTN bottle, usually just wants to be held. I've resported to taking him to bed with us if it's around 4am, I need the sleep!! I think there's an 8mo sleep regression...FB group mentined it. Also, Wonderweeks says that they can be dreaming or have nightmares at this stage and to expect sudden wake ups or crying during sleep. I just hopw he goes throug it fast.

Yeah its weird, he doesn't do it a ton. He mostly spins around but our faces and bodies take hits in the process. He's just a really restless sleeper.

I don't think it is a sleep regression or nightmares, just horrible teething pain. He also had a low grade fever. We gave him some Tylenol this morning and sent him off to daycare.

I need to lay down on the proverbial couch as I need some therapy right now. The following happened in a matter of 1 hour this morning - LO peed in his hair (I had no time to bathe him) - LO spit up in the hood of my sweatshirt (I still haven't changed) - I handed him puffs for 20 minutes just to buy myself time to take a work call - LO discovered the wine rack (he had a bottle off the shelf in mere nano seconds) - LO discovered the stairs
My SIL had to drop something off at my house today and I recruited her to watch LO for an hour while I catch up on work. I should be working right now, but needed to get that off my chest.
littleapplemom your staycation sounds excellent! Good luck to YH!!!! ninergirl52 good grief what a difference an hour can make! Pee is sterile, just don't put your hood up, puffs improve dexterity so good job there, LO knows what's good if he's interested in wine, and holy crap on discovering stairs. May the rest of your hours be much less eventful.
ninergirl52, my H "jokes" about inventing a vest with a retractable leash for days like yours! And I mean, haven't we all peed somewhere inconvenient at some point?

+1 to the crappy sleep. DD is teething and hadn't pooped yesterday. We were up a bunch and then at her last wake up I couldn't fall asleep once she did.
My mom was in town today so I sent DD to her house for the day and I went into my classroom. I had another productive day which is always nice. I love crossing off todo list items. I just wish I was done. I keep adding to the list as I think of things.
I haven't posted much since coming back to work, but I alluded to this in my roll call. I'm going to be on Jeopardy this Wednesday, July 22. I was a local alternate in March and I didn't get picked the first time I went but it was the first time I was away from my LO for that many hours. Then I taped in April. I pumped in the green room both times, they were really nice about it.
I have been terrible about giving support lately. I hardly have time to post much. spikesmom, I really hope your work slows down. It sounds so rough And the carseat? ugh so sorry. Do you have a mirror? I think Liam enjoys looking. Some of them light up/play songs, etc. I'm sure he just doesn't like to be tied down. I hope it passes soon.
Hugs to everyone else. i read here and there throughout the last couple days.

I sort of want to know where you've been peeing. Is that a normal reaction to your question?
Jinxed myself sleep wise by announcing how well LO was doing tonight. Now she's standing in the crib yelling. That's cool girl, I wasn't trying to sleep. You do you.
