In an effort to be more active and have more activity... I thought I'd try out ticker changes again - but this time for your LO. We'll see how it goes over... no biggie if people don't care for it!
Calling all Monday born babes!
How many weeks are you? How are you sleeping? How are you eating? GTKY: Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn?

How many weeks are you? Baby Ben is 6 weeks old today!
How are you sleeping? We go to sleep between 8-10 pm, wake up 3-4 hours later, then 2-3 hours later, then 2-3 hours later and we're "up" for the day
During the day, there isn't much of a routine, depending if we're out and about and even if we're not. I can usually count on him for 1 long nap and several shorties
How are you eating? Still exclusively breastmilk, with the occasional bottle of pumped milk to give momma break or top him off. Good eater over here, gaining weight like a champ!
GTKY: Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn? Snuggles and cuddles! And I could just oogle this guy all day!

How many weeks are you? B is 5 weeks old today!
How are you sleeping? We aren't, really. Lol. She cluster feeds from 8 pm onwards and we usually finally get to bed around 11-12 and wake up every 2-3 hours.
How are you eating? Exclusively breastfeeding, though I've been meaning to pump and try to get her to take a bottle, I just haven't found the time! This 2U2 thing is busy!
GTKY: Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn? I just love how she snuggles up to me. Ive missed newborn cuddles so much!
How are you sleeping? Off and on. She'll sleep pretty well at night, usually - except for last night. She only naps on us during the day.
How are you eating? She's currently nursing for the fifth time today! She's gaining weight well and wants to eat usually every two hours or less.
GTKY: Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn? The baby cuddles! I also love that look she gives when she looks me right in the eyes and makes me feel like I'm the most important person on earth.
I'll get around to changing my ticker when I actually log onto the computer.
LO is six weeks old.
I'm sleeping better. Baby is starting to go 3.5+ hours at night between wake ups, so it's pretty easy to get 7-8 hours in one night with slightly sleeping in. That'll probably change when I start work in a month and have to be up at a set time.
Baby eats frequently during the day. We're lucky if we get two hours between feedings. Cluster feeding starts around 6 pm until bedtime. I'll take it though, if she keeps sleeping like she does at night.
I love the newborn cuddles. It won't be much long where she fits perfectly on my chest and under my chin when she naps.
Edited because I wrote how I'm eating instead of the baby, lol. I guess that's what happens when I answer before reading other posts.
How are you sleeping? She usually goes down between 10:00 and 11:30. She sleeps 3-4 hours, then a quick 20-min wake up to eat/change around 2am. Second stretch is 2-3 hours, then another feeding between 4:30-5:30am. She'll usually sleep for another hour and be up for the day between 6-7am. DH usually gets her and hangs with her then so I can eat before he leaves. She only naps well on a person during the day though. It can be tough getting her to fall asleep...I want to start an eating/sleeping routine with her soon. I think she's letting herself get overtired and then can't fall asleep easily.
How are you eating? Exclusively FF; she does great on the gentle formula. A little gassy but pedi says nothing abnormal. She eats between 2.5 and 4.5 oz per feeding. Standard meal is 3.5 oz every 2-3 hours. She's gaining weight like crazy - approx 11oz per week!
GTKY: Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn? I of course love the cuddles too! I also love dressing her up in her cute little outfits and taking pictures of her lol. And that all the parents bring us food! Haha
How many weeks are you? 4 weeks today. That flew by!
How are you sleeping? Amazing, for a baby. He has been pretty consistently giving us a 5 hour stretch to start and then a 2 hour. I can function on that. I paid my dues with DS1 who was a horrible sleeper, so this is all kinds of magical and I'm so grateful.
How are you eating? Breastfeeding, clustering in the morning and at night. Bit of a fussy eater because of oversupply and crazy let down issues. Looking forward to that regulating.
GTKY: Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn? Like everyone else I don't think you can beat the cuddles, but my favorite is the monkey cuddle where he is more actively hugging/clinging to me and fits my body perfectly. Also love how easy he is in some ways. He is time consuming, but I love the ease of things like the carseat being easy in and easy out, he doesn't know the meaning of the word "procrastinate," and he's immobile so I don't have to worry about everything he can get into yet.

Jacob is 6 weeks today!
He usually gets a 5 hour stretch of sleep at night, followed by 2 to 3 hours then naps about 2 hours at a time several times.
He eats 4 oz at a time still, every 2.5 to 5 hours. Formula feeding due to meds I am on. Seems to be having tummy issues lately so we may ha e to switch formulas and see how that goes.
Favorite thing like everyone else is the snuggles. And seeing him smile. The other morning he woke up and gave me a huge smile when I went to get him out of his crib and my heart melted.

I guess I swapped to Monday ticker change and I guess I should change my ticker. It probably says I'm 46 weeks pg or something.
6 weeks today
LO doesn't have a set bedtime so I try to feed him sometime between 10 & midnight. He usually wakes to eat around 3:30 and again at 6:30. He usually goes right back to sleep after each feeding.
He's bf and eats every 1-4 hours for 5-15 min on either 1 or both sides. We will be getting a little more scheduled after our trip to the Midwest this week.
My favorite things are the snuggles and just looking at him. He is so amazing.
How are you sleeping? Ali goes to bed between 7-830pm She sleeps 4-6 hours. Wakes between 1-2am. After the first wake up she is up every 2 hours. Then at 530-6am her brother wakes her up by all the noise he makes.
How are you eating? I'm eating a mix of super healthy and then extreme unhealthy. Like I will crave a salad for dinner then have a bowl of ice cream or a bowl of cereal before bed. Wait I just realized this is how baby is eating. Haha. She is eating fine. I call her eating style 'all business' meaning she is hungry, feeds quickly, and is off the boob and asleep, not much lingering . .
Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn?
The smiles Ali is starting to make. Though honestly I'm not a newborn person. I much prefer the age where they become more interactive.
As the weeks go by, she is starting to sleep a little longer. We start our bedtime routine ( warm bath, lotion massage and story time) around 8:30 pm every night and then she usually falls asleep around 9. She then will wake back up between 11-1 to eat and then agaIn between 4-6 am ( depending on when she last ate). During the day, she usually takes a nap in the morning and then again in the afternoon.
This girl is a formula fed eater! We had to go out and purchase the bigger bottles already. She will eat anywhere between 4- 7 ounces. Although, she only ate 2 ounces at 5;30 am this morning before passing out. We are now using Dr.Browns and it has helped tremendously with gas and fussiness. Her eating schedule is starting to follow a time pattern.
I'm loving her little smiles and the babbling that she has started.
How are you sleeping? Eh, she sleeps okay. She's been fighting falling asleep lately, which has made her a bear at night. She usually gives us a 3-4 hour stretch from her bedtime feeding, and then wakes every 2-3 hours after that. I start back to teaching in a few weeks, so I'm going to have to start working on consistency with bedtime.
How are you eating? She eats well. She's exclusively bf with no formula. I've been very fortunate in that area. She eats between 2-4 oz. per feeding. I didn't think it was enough, but the pediatrician said that was perfect. When she gets to be 4 months, he said it should increase slightly to 3-5 oz. per feeding. She's about the size of a term baby now...she was 8lbs 10oz at her last appointment.
GTKY: Mommas, what's your fave thing about having a newborn? The smiles, the giggles, and the funny faces. She's becoming more and more interactive, and it's amazing to see the daily changes.
