Books? For pleasure? (Is there even time for that anymore?)

Anyone have any suggestions for fun reads? I like light hearted Emily Giffin type books. I have read all of hers. I'm over Nicholas Sparks- his writing has gone downhill since writing books with movie deals. 

I haven't read a NEW book in a while. I haven't read anything since having Liam.

I don't read for pleasure too often. Last book I started reading was Gone Girl. I am still on page 12....

I told my husband that I want a nook so I'm off my phone so much. So we will see! I like reading but the book has to be really good. I highly suggest the glass castle and a walk in the woods. 2 of my favs besides to kill a mockingbird

I used to read for pleasure all the time. I have the first generation kindle fire. I haven't been interested in anything new. I re read all my books I have saved on there a million times.

I have never read to kill a mockingbird actually. I'm thinking I might with that one and her book that she just released

I just started reading The Anatomy of Wings, the writing style is very unique but really quite lovely.

I have an addiction to parenting books at the moment but I wouldn't call it pleasure reading exactly. I love to read and miss having weekend afternoons to just kick back with a good book (totally worth it but still). I'm following for ideas :-)

What is this reading for pleasure you speak of? Are not mothers with young ones (some of who won't sleep)? Teach me new skills. <lol>

Oh I read Love the One You're With and really liked it jjh1119!
I like Jodi Picoult, and then there was a book a while back called The Dive from Clausen's Pier that I liked. But one of my most favorite books is a classic- The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. Those are the ones I know that sound like they would fit your interests. (I would second To Kill a Mockingbird too.)

I love chicklit, have you read any of the shoe addicts? I believe it's Beth Harbison that wrote them.

I'm part of a book club and I used to read. Now I just attend meetings and drink wine. Luckily we're laid back.

Just started reading Miss Peregrines's Home For Peculiar Children. It's ok so far. Tried Gone Girl....couldn't get into it. I ordered a bunch of freebies on my Kindle.

I third To Kill A Mockingbird. Great book!! I haven't read for pleasure in a long time and generally love reading autobiographies, light books, and books on historical events (I oddly love history and could easily read a book about WWII - weird, I know!). I can't handle scary stuff though. Pretty sure my points are all useless here. But go read To Kill a Mockingbird, it's a good one!

To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book, but I don't know if I'll read her new one. Atticus is my favorite literary character of all time, and I don't want to ruin that!
I'm listening to Me Before You right now. It's okay, but I don't have a lot of investment in it. I'm also reading a new translation of Dante's Inferno for school. I don't have the mental capacity to care about it though. Ughhhhhh
