Has anyone done this? I'm thinking about having this done to a few dipes that I'm sending out for new elastics. I'm just wondering if the final product will look clean, or will you be able to see an outline of where the aplix tabs were?
The aplix is actually in decent shape on them, but if I'm ever going to have this done, it might as well be now while iI'm already sending them out, right? Or would you wait until it absolutely needed to be done. Or would you just replace the aplix?
I normally wouldn't be so conflicted about it except for the fact that these are the BG artist series. I bought them for a really good price and they're in really good shape for what I paid. I just don't want to mess them up, and I want to be able to use them and eventually re-sell them down the line. WWYD?

You can see dots where the stitching was, but on prints it's probably not that noticeable. Just get them done if you want to get them done. It's probably cheaper to just do it all at once.

I only have one that I have converted, and I did it myself -- if this image upload works, you'll see that I had some trouble keeping the snap press centered on some of the snaps, but DS is skinny and so I didn't bother fixing the ones that we don't use. Not sure how good the upload image quality will be, but you might be able to see holes where the stitching for the Aplix was.
I tried converting them myself, and had the same problem as freezorburn, it's really difficult to get the snap press to work properly. I'd keep using the aplix until it needs replacing, and then send them to someone else to change them out. Or just replace them with some snap covers.

You will be able to tell they were converted. As far as resale, it's kinda a wash. Replacing them will gain interest from people who hate aplix, but at the same time, some people hate the way converted diapers look. Really, do whichever you'll prefer having.

Freezorburn this looks great! One of the reasons I want the convert one of mine is that I want to put in fun snaps. Love it!
