We are doing grey/white/yellow with a *touch* of elephant.
We were team green before things hit the fan, so had already decided on GN.
I'm using IKEA cribs that are unfinished, and have our painter painting them yellow. The rest of the furniture is white. Walls are grey and curtains will be grey and white chevron. We have a few tiny little elephant things we are adding in.
I think we're the same person (when it comes to theme) :-)
I like it! I've been obsessed with elephants for a long time, so I'm excited to see how it turns out. I got a huge yellow elephant poster at IKEA a few years ago and have been using it in my daycare. I went and swiped that shit right off the wall a few weeks ago and put it in the Twins room. Bonus of owning a daycare = take all the elephant. IKEA also had plush mommy elephants with little baby elephants attached to them at Christmas, so we got two of those, and will give our older DDs the mommies and the twins the babies. Squee, I'm getting excited.
Don't know if this image will work, but this is the poster
We still don't know the sex of the baby yet but we're sticking with a gender neutral theme. We're thinking green (a sage or some dusty green) and barn animal theme. Especially, sheeps/lambs because baby will be born in the year of the sheep.

The walls are a medium shade of gray that has slight blue undertones. We aren't going for a "theme". Just a color scheme. We're going to get some decals for the wall. Our furniture is going to be white. Our sheets and things like that will be in varying shades of pink. Oh, and some silver glittery details here and there too.
Like a lot of you, we're doing light grey walls, simple white furniture (except a bookshelf from my dad's childhood that is a dark blue), and navy and light blue. We'll do some pops of other colors to brighten it up and add some points of interest. I have a set of 12 adorable colorful illustrations that should help with that.
We decided when we were team green to go with a neutral colour and stick with it after we found out. So, we've painted the walls light grey and one accent wall is striped in orange, white and grey. His crib is white and his dresser is grey. So we're going to go with some bedding with oranges greens and blues to bring in some colour. I'm hoping to make some curtains for the room as well as his name to be hung in the corner. Pinterest is my best friend and worst enemy
I loved reading your ideas! Some are so creative In a previous post i said i was thinking about a yellow duck theme, but i decided to ditch since all i could really find for decor was bathroom related. Instead im going to do gray walls, navy rug, orange and red accents, geometric touches such as crib sheet and hopefully honeycomb shelves, perhaps some animal related artwork, still tbd.
Well, we're reusing all of the same furniture and basics (sheets, diaper hanger, valance, etc.) from our first. We were team green, so it was all gender neutral, although we couldn't paint then, so I'm excited to (hopefully) have a house by the time "nugget" comes along so we can paint.
We have a medium tone wood crib (walnut finish I think) and dresser. and we did light green, yellow, brown/tan, and white as the "main" colors from the valance and diaper changer, which are polka-dot with green trim. Most of our sheets are either white, polka-dot (same colors), or jungle animals.
My daughter had a few wall hangings that were flowers and butterflies after she was born, and her "big girl room" once we move will be butterflies I think (purple and teal). This time, I would like to do animal prints: a lion, a bear, giraffe, etc. in the nursery.
We aren't repainting, but the walls are a medium grey color with one accent wall that is gold and white striped. There's a white crystal looking chandelier and red Victorian looking couch in there which we're not taking out. We have a white crib & changing table and are mostly keeping the décor white with some little pops of gold. I can't wait until we get the décor up!
We have a theme picked for each sex...find out on Friday! It feels so far away!
For a girl, we're doing a compromise on my original idea of a pink princess fairyland (I'm super girlie and most of my ideas make everyone around me want to throw up LOL). We're calling it "The Princess and Her Dragon" b/c DH is obsessed with dragons. He and my brother are painting a big mural on the long wall and then the others will be white w/ pink accents.
For a boy, we're doing a nautical theme. This primarily came about because when we were registering, DH fell in love with a blue stuffed octopus, so we'll theme the room around that if we use this one.
DH was squarely in the "I want a boy" camp until he spent some time with some toddlers. He came home from the experience saying that if we have a girl, he'll be very relieved LOL
With DD#1 we found a wall print that I loved and we just used colors from that to decorate the room. The walls were light green and we just decorated with other colors from the print like a black crib and dresser, coral polka dot bedding, yellow and white frames, baskets, etc. Nothing fancy or too cute. With #2 the room we put her in was grey and we were too lazy to paint so we kept it that was and just used her sisters stuff to decorate. #3 who knows we are getting our house ready to sell, hopefully buy a new house before she is born. So until we get all of that out of the way I don't even want to think about her room.
