I have an hour left at work and then I'm off for a baby free weekend! We are heading into Chicago this afternoon for a wedding DH is in. I still can't decided if I want to skip the rehearsal festivities tonight and just catch up on a long night uninterrupted sleep.

That's a tough one. When we first stayed out away from baby I wished it was for sleeping not partying. Haha. Have fun this weekend.
Vacation is winding down. It surprisedly was a relaxing week with a baby. I don't wanna leave but yet I'm ready to get DD back into her routine. Will enjoy this last day of vacation though.

Sounds like a fun weekend! I think sleep would have won a couple of months ago but currently I'm really craving some baby free adult time. I'd probably go to the rehearsal.
If MH says one more time, "He slept through the night!" Before actually knowing if he slept through the night, he's gonna get kicked. The answer is usually no. And it's usually followed with a groan, eye roll and a grumpy wife who was just reminded that you NEVER hear the baby- even when he's coughing so hard I worry I'm gonna find his insides in the crib. He really should have learned by now...
The kid woke up at 5am this morning (she usually sleeps until 8am) and wouldn't go back to sleep. Of course this was the one day I had work that needed done first thing this morning so I let the TV babysit while I rushed to get it done. Then I had to get myself ready and gather up all of the remaining things I need for DH's birthday party, all while she fussed and cried because I wasn't giving her enough attention and probably because she was still pretty tired. I somehow managed to get done with everything and gobble down some breakfast with 15 minutes to spare before I need to leave so naturally now is when the little stinker is finally sleeping again. Typical.

I don't know how these men manage to sleep through everything. I wake up if my kid starts whimpering in her sleep but DH sleeps through her screaming. I don't get it.

Me Neither! He always says I can wake him up, but. By the time he is awake enough to understand what's happening, I can have the baby back asleep. Usually. And what Inreally need is for him to wake up before I do and handle it!
Also. I know I'm complainy right now. But my industry is full of idiots. The dumbest people ever. Can you imagine companies run by Wanna be chorus boys?! That's my world.

Yep, I always get the "you can always wake me up" offer but then when I do he's so disoriented and cranky that I almost never bother even with it.

Seriously! Men aren't "wired" for this I swear.
Last night H said, do you remember D waking up at 10PM crying for you? I said no. He said yeah you wouldn't wake up and go and she cried for like 5 minutes. WTF.. how do you know she was crying for ME?? Did she tell you, hey dad, I need mom and not you?! When I asked if he went to feed her, he said no, by the time I got up to go to her she was asleep again. WTAF.
I am so glad it is Friday! DD was up at 5AM... yuk, but at least she only woke up once last night. My kid will seriously be the last one to STTN. We had one of the realtors we talked to over a week ago come back and tell us what we could list our house for and what it would appraise for and it was $25-$30K more than the other realtor! This realtor did a very thorough walk through, unlike the other so we are pretty confident in the numbers. Still not what we were hoping for, but we are seriously considering listing.
I am nervous because we have never listed or sold a house before! I am just worried surprises will come up ,especially after the kitchen remodel we just did on our own.

swise22 From your pic in HDBD- do you like the duck baby bath thing?? I think it's adorable and have wanted one for a long time. I am tired of using the kitchen sink.
DH is a social butterfly and can't tell anyone "no". We just got back on Monday night from a long weekend trip to visit DH's friend and wife in NJ. Yesterday DH invites his best friend to join us for a street festival in the next town. Then another friend got invited to join as well and they all came over to our house afterwards to drink beer and have a fire. Tonight another of DH's friends is in town and probably coming over, but of course DH hasn't worked out details yet. And tomorrow we are going to a wedding of yet another friend of DH. DH's BFF is also going to that wedding and will likely be at the same table, so not sure why we had to hang out with him last night.
I just want a few nights in a row to get stuff done around the house and relax. DH doesn't get the concept of making choices and turning things down.
