disneyaddict1 your situation with your DS sounds so tough. I hope your DH comes around and supports the eval. While toddlers are manipulative, that behavior might be a little beyond that. It can be tough to be objective when it's your own child (I deal with that with my DH sometimes). At the very least an eval will hopefully give you an idea of where you're at and steps you can take to make things better.
disneyaddict1 If your gut tells you something is off, listen to it. Like yalllow said if it's nothing, you've got reassurance, but if it is something the earlier you begin interventions the better.

You win baby girl. I try and make her go until at least midnight for her first feeding (so 6 hrs) because I figure at that point it probably is hunger but after an hour and a half of trying to get her back to sleep I gave up at 11:15. Comfort for the win.

My MIL gave me a sewing lesson (I could do it before, it just looked like crap) and I made LO a cushion for her little rocking chair. I had left over material so I also made two pillow cases for her, and a "wubbie". It's super soft, fuzzy material so I figured she'd like to snuggle with it, but so far I do more than she does.
We bought LO a Minnie Mouse easy chair today for her birthday coming up, but I sat her in it when we got home and she looked so comfy, we cracked and let her have it now. I figure she doesn't know the difference. Plus, when she's tired of sitting she'll stand up as if she doesn't realize she cannot walk yet, so my rationale is, maybe this chair will help her learn to walk.

Thanks Ladies!
I think the hang up is the fact that if there is something up that he'll feel bad/guilty. He is also afraid that DS1 could be labeled negatively. So we'll just go one step at a time for now.
So is miss c! She will only eat if she can feed herself or a bottle of formula
This happened to us around Christmas where he wouldn't let a spoon near his mouth...I hate to tell you it's still happening. He only eats finger food now. There was a week or two where he was barely eating but I kept offering it to him & now he eats a lot. I'm hoping spoon feeding is an option again soon...but just suggesting that you might just want to make the switch to finger foods instead of fighting this

I tried finger foods yesterday and she won't have it. She won't eat anything that isn't puréed. I have been making chunkier purées to help transition but I have to wait 4 days bt each new thing so it's taking some time.
Shortly after she is in the high hair and I'm trying to feed her she breaks down into tears, points at my boobs and starts doing the milk sign. I guess she just wants to nurse more.

We're in a no purees phase too but he will wolf down finger food. He'll only eat puree if he can feed himself which is not the fastest or cleanest process. Sometimes it involves a spoon but usually he just dips his hand in the food.

Yea I'm just at a loss for what to give her that has substance that she can feed herself. She has had like crackers, eggs, fruit, mashed potatoes, some meat. I'm just at a loss for a lunch time food!
Wow, @notyourmom, I really hope you have a better day every day for a while. What a SHIT day you described. @yallow, LOVE the gifs. bennieangel, what I the book? I need something new to read. kaitkat - I posted a thread about this sometime last week...I think it's called finger foods or something. There were some really good ideas that people gave in there. Also, Feb14 had a thread that was good too...and there's a BLW board with some ideas. Basically I'm just letting him try & eat whatever he wants...and if all else fails he gets cheerios.
babycaps - The Night Circus. It's so good. I suck at book clubs because I'm already 1/2 done which is like 3x further than I was supposed to read.
Ladies happy freaky Friday @yallow please insert gif here
Wine for all of us.
Sorry, I sometimes forget that I lurk more than I post and I don't always give enough of a backstory. He's had a pretty significant flat spot on his head that we've been watching for a really long time. His doctor was trying to wait and see if it would correct itself over time with tummy time and sitting up. It got a little better but not quite as much as she wanted to see so we went for the evaluation.
Hen you first offered Cheerios did you just give them to LO? I'm so scared she will choke so I haven't given her any.
I didn't know it but my in laws were giving her cheerios when they had her so for me she already had the experience. Yes though they would just put a couple out for her and let her eat them. She is also working on her 6th tooth so I think now she chews them more.

@babylentilbean I just gave linc Cheerios a couple days ago. He still doesn't have any teeth but he did ok! Most of them went on the floor no choking though.
He had had the gerber puffs before but those dissolve. He still chews them though. He gums everything before swallowing.

We have two bottom teeth, but mostly he just sucks on them until they are soggy & then mashes them up & swallows. Daycare started them sometime in December. He loves them. If you are worried about it I would just give one at a time -they're super small so the likely hood of choking is slim, but gagging can happen. It's important to know the difference & to not panic if they start to gag so you don't freak them out. Just a tip I learned.

Also we have a lot of luck with fruit, so I buy the Dole fruit in juice & drink the juice, then give him the fruit - I cut most of it into smaller sizes though. I snack on what he's snacking on a lot & that helps him, because he wants whatever I'm eating right now.
Lunch foods: Chicken, steamed or cooked veggies (cook more to get them softer) whole wheat bread cubes, watermelon, cheese cubes, tunafish, baked potato cubs, wine, fruit cubes (get a peice and cut it up)
With James I would just fill a basket with stuff from the produce section and cut it up/cook it and place it in jars or containers to pull out through out the week.

Someone over in the Breastfeeding forum just REALLY pissed me off. My staff is really pissing me off and upsetting me today. It's just NOT MY DAY. @yallow, I need a gif!!!!
