So jelly bean needs to sleep. I think her reflux is under control now. She takes zantac, precacid and maalox for breakthrough. No ear infection and no sign of teeth.
The weird thing is she sleeps well on Tuesdays," well " meaning only up 2-3 times and goes right back down. Tuesday is a daycare day, but so is wednesday and she sleeps like shit Wednesdays.
She screams if held, down, swaddled, unswaddled, in our bed, in her bed. She usually naps like shit. If by off chance she naps okay, which is 3/4 hours in a whole day, she sleeps even worse at night.
I feel like we have tried everything except sleep training. Which I don't love but she is starting to wake G up and literally scream/ cry sleeps from 11-6 every night except Tuesdays. She is 7 months, eats 3 solid meals a day, nurses every 3 and weighs 19lbs 11 oz so food intake isn't the issue. She won't take the boob half the times at night I try.
Honestly the way she cries all night anyways I don't think sleep training will even work. Also our pedi is well aware, he thinks these reflux meds should be helping.
Thoughts? I just don't want to be missing something.
Have you tried inclining the mattress, just in case the reflux is still bothering her?
I know with Eliza her sleep is crappy when she doesn't get good naps, but you mentioned that when she does she still doesn't sleep well.
It couldn't hurt to try sleep training. We waited until 9 months with Eliza and it worked glorious for about 3.5 months. Then we had a WW around the 13-14 month mark and dealt with that. Sleep training wouldn't work so we've just kind of worked through it and made adjustments. I can say that at about 15 months she is sleeping better (with the exception of last night) and a huge plus is she is finally putting herself to sleep on her own.
ETA: I didn't wait for a specific reason or because I was against it before 9 months, it just didn't fit within our schedules and other stuff going on. We ended up doing it over Christmas vacation when we had consecutive days off from work and wouldn't be too tired at work.

bliz1712 we haven't yet. We will try tonight! She is such a wiggly thing I worry she will be at the foot, but its worth a shot. She won't even sleep anymore propped in our arms so who knows.

Is it too quiet? Do you play music in her room? The girls have a brainy baby classical music on repeat all night long on an ipod connected to little speakers...i felt they slept better when it wasn't super quiet....just a thought..
Could it be a temperature issue? Too hot/too cold? Sound machine? Crib sheet material? PJ material? Magic sleep suit? Just trying to throw anything out there!

mrsplaydoh and sarasansh we have a white noise machine going all night. We have tried with and without. We have changed up jammies and she dislikes the sleep suit. I feel like she does get hot. We have her fan and the ac on. If we can get her to her tummy without her knowing she sleeps for a chunk. She just HATES tummy time so freaks if she knows she is on it. Ideas on how to make it cooler? Its 73° with the ac and we keep her fan on.
What about just putting her to bed in less clothes? We keep our house pretty cool at night, 68, so that's never been an issue. But I know some people just do a onesie for bedtime.
Our white noise has a projection feature, have you tried that? It seems to entrance Eliza enough for her to fall asleep on her own. And then I just turn the projection off before I go to bed.

Hmmm coming from a non sleeper kid, I think she just may be a kid that is satisfied with a smaller amount so trying to meet a standard amount for naps and then dealing with night times probably does suck. We did sleep training that young, a couple versions of it, probably more gentle in the beginning. It seemed to take 3-5 days to kick in and then lasted for 2weeks to a month before we would have to do a tune up for one reason or another. And we just generally were up 3-5 times a night at about that age if I recall correctly which sucked! Hungry? Could you push some solids later at night potentially? We were on formula so this doesn't really apply but we would do a smaller feeding at say 6 and try for a larger/concentrated feeding at 9. Paci? Loveys?

Gage was a nonsleeper. 3-6 times would be fine honestly as long as she went down. She puts the food away. At daycare she pretty much just doesnt nap. Maybe she is like coco and doesnt "need " naps. She cries for hours even when held. She uses a paci. Its just weird. Even when held in our bed she cries.
I have no advice just commiseration. I'm so sorry you are still going through this as well. I feel like one kid is always awake at my house which pretty much means I am always awake. Cece goes down easier than Henry but wakes up a ton; whereas Henry fights like hell to stay awake and then still wakes up a ton. I usually have to take Cece all the way downstairs when she's up at night because I am terrified she will wake Henry. But then he's up shortly after anyways and I wonder why I even bother.

I can commiserate with you too. We have tried sleep training to get her down for naps and bedtime but she sill gets up a lot during the night, it doesn't seem to help with that. Same with naps. 20 mins and she is done! So I have no advise for you, sorry! I hope these non sleepers learn how to sleep sooner rather than later!

Well we woke up with green nose and eyes so she was probably so bad again because of this. And xanthepants G ended up at a chiro for his car seat issues. It worked great for them but not sleep.

bantyrooster, hugs girl. I feel so bad for you. I just can't imagine going this long without sleep. I wish I could think of anything more. I'm thinking of coming down to O this fall, I could watch her for the night and let you rest!
This sucks for you, wow! And baby too! I'd be a zombie if I were in your position. So I'm guessing the inclined mattress didn't work because of the goopey nose, etc?
