It's sort of strange, but if it's a couple I rarely see anyway, I probably wouldn't really care. Is it an unusual name?
Yeah I guess you're right. I was thinking of a coworker whose neighbor named their daughter the same very unusual name a few months after the coworkers daughter was born. That was clearly just copying. But I agree with aurora1181 in that situation.
Hope everyone starts to feel better soon. My cough is almost gone so I'm beyond excited. Like, I only woke myself up once last night from coughing.
I've got laundry going already and grocery shopping on the agenda. But first I must get some pancakes or eggs or something good for breakfast. In reality it'll probably be leftover Chinese food.
I wish I had leftover Chinese food for breakfast.
SHHHHHH!!! I just told DH that leftover Chinese is NOT breakfast
I want pancakes! And a mimosa! (and Prince serving me pancakes would be even better!)
I have to get dressed this morning to go out and buy formula. Might as well wait a little longer until the stores can sell wine so that I don't have to go out twice today.
I am jealous. Liquor stores aren't open on Sundays here.
I want to eat something but DD is sleeping sprawled out across my lap and if I wake her by moving her I won't be able to eat either. Catch 22. To wake up DH (taking a nap because he had her all morning) or risk waking her myself?
We have to get groceries today, clean the house, do laundry, and get ready for the week. I have to figure out a way to call my boss and explain my crazy daycare story. I'm not going to work tomorrow until I talk to the director and figure something out.
Also had to tell MIL that we don't have time to go over there all afternoon. So now I'm sure more drama is headed my way. It's crazy to me that I have to justify and explain wanting to be a parent to my own kid.
What happened with daycare? I'm struggling to keep up with the threads on here. All these notches trying to up their post counts.

I just dropped off my mom at the airport and feel so sad. Our relationship is so much better now that we have DD in our lives. I'm really going to miss her.
And the. I decided to brave the grocery store and it was so packed that I had to wait at the front door for a few minutes to get a cart. It was insane! Snowpocolypse awaits!
I love days that we all get to sleep in. Yes I woke up at 6:45 but I fell back asleep and now it's 9:45. I can hear the toddler playing in his room and having fun. But I do think it's time for some coffee and French toast.
Like, told you they named their baby after yours, or just used the name?
Well same name. I'm not saying we own the name but we saw them a month ago. They said that's such a cute name. Then on facebook there it is, born yesterday, with its own hashtag. I had the mmmk reaction. I'm not dumb enough to think she'll be the only finley though ;-)
And there's no chance they didn't like the name before? It is a cute name though
rosalie12 Really? Why would you be annoyed? People can name their kid whatever they want. A friend using a name doesn't make it off limits.

My rainbow arrived 10/15/14.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs.
TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
This is super random, but I follow Snooki on IG and she had her baby like a month before us. She looks so good! Gah I wish I had personal trainers and time to work out.
And a way to make an ass load of money without actually having to work!
My optimism that he would sleep the next night lasted the first few days, but now I figure if I just expect to never sleep again, it will be a real treat if he ever does let me. Other than at night he's a happy kid though.

I'm sorry but I think getting angry that a coworker used the same name is so petty. how does it influence your life? They will have their daughter for the rest of their lives; I think their first choice gets priority for them, just like your first choice got priority for you.

I ordered my groceries online yesterday to avoid exactly this. The snow rush madness at the grocery store kills me.

I love the idea of a "no alcohol" emergency.
We had pancakes for breakfast too. Now baby is sleeping on me while my dad entertains the toddler (she spent the night w them). I wish I had less laundry to do today.
