DD has been in leap 4 for a while now. Supposedly a stormy time. But she hasn't been fussy or anything. So I don't put too much into the wonder weeks other than the new abilities to watch for.
I'm up DS is sleeping and I haven't been able to fall back to sleep. I have an ongoing headache since yesterday and just want sleep, I think that's what's keeping me uncomfortable. I want a couple more hours before getting up for the day, so I will stay in bed!
DH just brought dd to me in bed to nurse. She had a blowout immediately after eating. After helping to get her cleaned up and changed he took her and told me to go back to bed. Soooooo, I'm going to ignore the wet spot on the blanket from dd. it doesn't look or smell like poop, so it's not that gross to sleep in it, right? I mean, it really is a pretty small spot.

We were bored yesterday, so we randomly decided to drive two hours to visit the ILs. We spent the night. I'm looking forward to breakfast this morning, they always do bacon and eggs on Sundays!

I'm seriously ready to drop kick my dumbass dog. DD has been doing so much better with her evening sleep and only woke up twice last night HOWEVER my stupid effing dog woke up at midnight and 3am barking incessantly to go out. WTF dog?!? He is being such a pain in the ass lately!

Also, my mom is leaving today after staying with us for a couple of weeks. I am way more dad than I thought I would be. She has been such a huge help and I finally felt like I wasn't doing it all solo. Hopefully DH took some notes while she was here.

What is it about eggs and bacon that's so comforting? I craved fried eggs daily while I was pregnant.

I feel your pain! I love my dog. Love love love my dog. But lately she has been such a pain with the barking!! And she somehow doesn't seem to see the babies on the floor when we are doing tummy time- I'm worried she will run over them. So I use baby gates to keep her out of the living room- cue more barking. Ugh.

Well, bacon is just delicious. But you're right, most people do find it comforting. I never craved it while pregnant though
Both twins were up all night coughing. No fevers, everyone is eating fine, I'm getting some smiles here and there but SO MUCH COUGHING. The weekend clinic at my peds office opens at noon so I'm going to call and see if I can get them in. Not sure what kind of treatment we can even do. Do I send them to day care tomorrow? Or take the day off work? See if father in law can keep them? Ugghh
DD is currently swaddled, passed out on my chest, with white noise app blaring next to us. I hate when she fights sleep.
Dear DD, WHYYY MUST YOU FIGHT SLEEP?! It is so much better for everyone when you nap. And you are a lot happier once you've slept. Please choose more sleep. Love, Mama

H didn't want to take the baby because "he's sick." Well fuck you buddy, time to man up I've been sick for a month and I can't hear shit with this ear infection so stop your fucking whining.
We have to get groceries today, clean the house, do laundry, and get ready for the week. I have to figure out a way to call my boss and explain my crazy daycare story. I'm not going to work tomorrow until I talk to the director and figure something out.
Also had to tell MIL that we don't have time to go over there all afternoon. So now I'm sure more drama is headed my way. It's crazy to me that I have to justify and explain wanting to be a parent to my own kid.

Same here.
Just caught up on the exercise thread...are we officially drama llama free?

DS has a cough right now. I called the nurse's line and they told me to keep an eye on it. Maybe you can call yours and see what they say? I'm supposed to take DS to daycare like it's business as usual.

Good for you for going to the director. That lady sounds crazy. What's up with In laws wanting weekend time? Mine always want to come over on Sundays and I feel like that's the only time I really get to see my babies. That's my time! Babysitting for a date night is one thing- taking up my Sunday afternoon is another.
