I definitely need to get on the fitness train! I've got 16 lbs to pre-pregnancy and then want to lose at least another 7 because I was at my heaviest when I got pregnant.
H and I walked at least 5 days/wk during pregnancy and have continued that. I'm going to start mom-baby yoga on Saturday mornings and am going to try out a bootcamp class next Monday(dr appointment today). This week I'm going to try and get out for a couple of jogs too.
I'm doing a Wipeout 5K on August 22nd so I need to get a move on it!

I've been doing Jillian Michael's 6 week 6 pack every day with modified burpees and plank jacks since I'm not cleared for jumping. Between that and the Blogilates squat challenges (so I can get cleared for jumping) I am so freaking sore everywhere!

I only managed a couple park walks and a couple short bike rides. I attempted a walk with the jogging stroller around our neighborhood, but it is gravel and seemed way to bouncy for the little guy. He acted fine, but there was so much cheek jiggle! I really need to start some indoor workouts and get the treadmill set back up.

I need to do something because I'm not feeling good about myself! DH and I are both eating whatever we want and not really active at all. Anyone else find it hard to get motivated to lose weight when your significant other is just fine with you the way you are? I mean, I'm sure he'd appreciate it if my body were better, but he's in no way complaining right now.
I know it's not the worst thing to be a happy, chubby couple. But I'm also scared of becoming that super unhealthy, huge couple if we don't make better habits!

I've been cleared to get back to being able to run, jump and lift weights after this week with the caveat that I ease back in to it and listen to my body. I have had in laws at my house for 18 days (SIL flies out tomorrow) and I got so much more exercise in the form of walking in when I was home alone. I have only been able to get out for 1 walk since they have been here because I was busy "entertaining". I still have about 20lbs to lose plus some since I was at a higher weight to begin with. We just redid our budget to include hospital bills and our current gym membership is on the chopping block. I'm worried that I wont be able to get back down because I do better having a gym with people and classes than being at home on my own and it's sweltering right now in south Texas by 9am. I go back to work next week on top of that so finding time is going to be a challenge but I know I need to make it a priority somehow.

I was supposed to have my pp checkup last week but my OB had to go deliver a baby. This week she's on vacation so I have to wait til Aug 4 to get cleared for excercise and something they call sex?
txngrl31, I'm impressed with your ability to feed your LO, post a thread and add pictures lol. I added a picture to HBDB and I think it didn't work again, haha. Also, when pregnant, I tried Tracy Anderson's video for all of 5 minutes..I couldn't do it! Good job that shit is tough
I don't know how you guys find time to exercise. Sleep > exercise, yes?
I don't have my 6w pp checkup for another 2 weeks but I have been walking like a crazy person. I gained 60lbs total during pregnancy after not feeling great about my weight prior to pregnancy. I'm 20lbs from pre pregnancy weight and I'd like to lose another 20 after that. I feel pretty good about the fact that I lost 40 so far but another 40 to go seems like a lot! I've been walking so far and doing some light weights with arms and a little stretching. I'd like to start some yoga soon and definitely need to force myself to start eating better. So far I've been having about the same habits as during pregnancy and that's gotta stop!
It's supposed to be in the 90's all week so I have a feeling my walking routine is about to get nixed. Maybe I'll go to the mall and just completely cover her car seat so no one can get to her with germs. I need to keep going while I'm on a roll...I've only got 4lb to pre-pregnancy weight and 8lb to goal weight. I'm currently browsing for home ab workouts while LO sleeps. We'll see if I actually do them...

baytosa2013, Ditto to the gym membership being on the chopping block. I actually cancelled mine when I got pregnant and said I'd re-join at some point after baby... but we just re-did our budget also and I'm not sure it's going to happen. Luckily there's at least 4 months of "good" weather left, so I really just need to get my butt outside.

I'm anxious to get back to the gym. I should be cleared at my appointment this week. In the meantime, I've been going for short walks with baby in the wrap and DD1 in the stroller. I've tried to eat better but I love food too much... haha.
carolyngrace I'm with you - h keeps saying I'm beautiful and I don't need to lose any weight but I'm not exactly comfortable with the extra 15 I have on me! Not to mention I was about 15 lbs above where I wanted to be when I got pregnant. I qualify for a super low ymca membership with my income (~$25 a month) but if I'm not working full time it's not happening.
I might start going to the mall and do their walking program. They have mile/lap markers up. I want to try and budget in a mommy and me yoga class, too, now that I have the all clear. I'd *like* to do some Jillian michaels but since I slacked on exercising while pregnant (I walked a lot), I fear jumping right in would be awful.

Taught spin class this morning and I have to say it feels good to be back at the gym. My doctor cleared me early for cycling but I'm still waiting a few weeks to resume hard core ab workouts on the decline bench with the medicine ball. I haven't weighed myself lately but I would guess I still have 5-10 lbs to lose from the way my clothes fit. Trying to focus on walking, drinking plenty of water and getting as much sleep as possible. Losing weight is extra difficult when you are sleep deprived with a newborn, so don't be too hard on yourselves!

My weight loss is at a stand still. I am trying to cut down on the junk and treats after stress eating for the 2 weeks I had my sister here. We are also back to not drinking during the week, as I admittedly went crazy for beer as soon as I quit bf.
I am walking with the stroller at least every other day, trying to do it daily but I still have some pain. My pp appt isn't til Aug 10, so this will have to do til then. I have lost 30 lb and have 20 to go. Still can't zip any pants.

I went for my first jog last week after being cleared... started out slow (5 mph) and almost made a mile except I felt wet and thought I was having recurrence of my bleeding... nope... just peeing myself - shit, I had no bladder control issues through pregnancy or post-partem so far... we'll have to see how this goes
Like many of you, going to the gym is definitely out right now. Maybe we could start a stream of at home workouts/tried and true videos? Before baby time I was pretty into Zuzka-her videos are on Youtube and they are short but effective. It's going to be awhile before I start with her again because she's a crazy beyotch but for those of you who are in an intense workout place-check it out!
