I thought the random, happy tears stopped after postpartum hormones calmed down, but I totally had a moment this morning when I looked at baby girl and was overwhelmed with emotion. (I'm totally not a crier!) We've had a rough week: her first virus, lots of sleepless nights, and the beginnings of teething pain, but it's amazing how easily those troubles are washed away (at least for a bit) by sweet baby cuddles. Must be some kind of genetic trick Mother Nature plays on us...so we don't eat our young! Motherhood is no piece of cake (actually much, much harder than I ever imagined), but I'm thankful for the moments when I'm able to put things in perspective - so, so lucky to be this little girl's mama! Happy Sunday, ladies!

Awww, been there and done that. TWICE! Enjoy the moments and come here to bitch about the ones you can't
I had one of those moments earlier - J's first birthday is on Tuesday and he's our last baby. It's sad I'll never again have a tiny squishy newborn baby.
