I saw a cabbage recipe where you slice it into rounds, rub raw garlic on it, add olive oil and S&P and bake it. I thought that looked pretty good. If you're looking for cabbage inspiration, that is
I asked MH to buy a cabbage for my sore nips (sorry to bring that into a food thread, but I'm assuming most of you won't be grossed out), but afterwards I realized if cold cabbage leaves are also used for engorgement, it may decrease my milk supply? Anyway, this cabbage recipe may be used if I don't do Rubio's style fish tacos.

Yeah, actually the only thing BFing wise I've heard about cabbage leaves is that if you're choosing not to BF from the beginning, you can put cabbage leaves in your bra.

When I was a sobbing mess on Sunday and in pain, I was convinced I had read it helped soreness/cracking but then couldn't find that once we actually had cabbage. Only what you said LOL. You still have power, yay!

Is something else going on? I feel like you should be past the cracking painful stage at 4 months. Have you talked to a lactation consultant? My midwife prescribed me all purpose nipple ointment when we were having latch issues and it did wonders.

Sorry to threadjack, but the crack didn't happen until last week when I tried to remove a bleb with my fingernail. I got lazy with her latch on vacation & wasn't using lanolin regularly which is partially why I think my supply went down (just in time for her well visit. Womp womp). I haven't seen a LC in person in a month, and the one on the phone Friday was somewhat helpful. It's been better these past few days, and I can tell my supply is increasing. Thanks for asking and sorry again to threadjack the food thread!

Threadjacking is how things are done around here. You should be bragging about your appropriate segue, not apologizing.

Cabbage leaves can help relieve pain from blocked ducts.
This week is: homemade pizza TJ's chicken (I think I messed up, it was soupy) Chicken fingers (+broccoli and sweet potatoes) Fajitas Breakfast burritos French dip sandwiches
I made chicken noodle soup and chocolate chip cookies. Tomorrow is chicken sandwiches and beet slaw and tater tots.
Tater tots, yum.
ETA I'm trying a new recipe tonight and hope it's yummy. Salmon is soaking in Trader Joe's Marinated Eggplant and Zucchini mix. I will then bake with bread crumbs on top.
