Most of us have used Amazon (love my Prime) and other online retailers that shop to home.
What are some of your experiences with Google Express or Instcart, if they are available in your area?
I'm intrigued by Google Express delivering Costco or Target goods. Draw backs are non-perishable goods only from Costco and I might miss out on buy x, get $ x gift card from Target.
Some Instacart retailers charge more than in-store. For example, Instacart *will* deliver perishable goods from Costco, but Costco charges 15%+ more per item. Same for some of the grocery stores.
We get perishables from Costco regularly! It does cost more than in store, but for us it makes a lot of sense. We don't have a car so a trip to costco would include an hourly car rental for us. The time savings alone, plus lack of marital bickering, helps me get over the extra cost.
My sister has had good experience with Amazon Pantry, but we've never used it.

No experience so no help here, but any trip to Costco that involves DH not actually in the store throwing things in the cart would instantly save me at least $100!!! I always end up buying "this double pack of hot sauce" or "those chips we can't find anywhere" or a giant tub of SOMETHING we don't need because he's with me.
I don't have instacart, I don't have a costco near me either, though.
I am very fond of amazon, though but for food. I'm picky and mainly only purchase perishables anyway so it probably wouldn't work for us. I enjoy my weekly trip to wf. But I usually get to go by myself (no H no baby) so a 30 min+ drive, a decent 45 min to myself in store and another 30+ min drive home? Yup I'm going to do that forever.
The target is close to my house and it gets us out of the house. I wfh 5 days out of the week, though, so I need to fill up the day sometimes, especially on no nap/fussy days.
I think grocery delivery would sound very attractive if I was working. But as a SAHM I like the weekly grocery trip... It gives us a reason to get out of the house, and sometimes the cashier is the only adult I talk to all day lol.
I don't think I could do having someone else pick out my produce, though. So I'd have to go to the store once a week anyway.
littleapplemom I never go grocery shopping with DH. We'd buy so much extra crap haha.
nerdalert Working outside is the rub. I have a Costco 2 blocks from my office. I take public transit to work, so there's a carrying capacity issue right there. With pumping twice daily at work, I can't use my lunch break to run out there anyway.
On days I wfh, I'm on teleconference calls so no stepping out either.
Pretty much that leaves Saturday and we've been alternating weekends shopping and not taking advantage of the summer.
littleapplemom I make a list for MH for the Costco runs. Fairly successful to keep us out of trouble.
You can still get gift cards when you order from target online. When they had that big baby sale I got $75 in gift cards when I bought 1000 diapers and an umbrella striker

Yes, the gift cards are available at target dot com, but likely not if I wanted to use Google Express to shop from Target.
I had to look up Instacart and I've never been to a Costco. I feel like I'm missing out!
You are. Costco is where dreams come true. As long as you can leave your H* at home because he can be a real dick at Costco.
*my H. my H is a real dick at Costco.
If I could have my dream shopping plaza configuration, it would include a Costco, Target, and Trader Joe's. And an extra day to the week to get my shopping done.
We have a Costco less than 10 mins away. Dh & I usually go together, he is fun to shop with. I wfh so I go to the grocery store to get out of the house. We are terrible meal planners so we go to the grocery store 2-3x per week. Lots of little trips. Delivery wouldn't make sense for us.

My mall had a Costco and a target, but no trader Joe's. The closest one is at least a 15 minute drive. But we just got a Wal-Mart with a nearly full sized grocery section between daycare and my house.
