I like professional photos and this session for baby sunshine had me smiling from ear to ear. I am head over heels in love with this little man! I will start and add more as I get more sneak peeks

I'm so excited to get ours tomorrow. The ones the company at the hospital did were cute, but felt very genetic. We're using the same photographer that did or maternity shoot.

If you want newborn photos when do you start contacting photographers? Did you all start that process before baby was born?

Ours were done in the hospital, they came to our room less than 24 hours after he was born. I would contact the hospital and ask them if that's how they do it.
We bought the digital files (without the watermark over them, obviously) and a package.
We wanted the basic newborn naked basket pics, but they'd do anything we wanted.

zonagirl- my understanding is if you want newborn photos done outside of the hospital, you need to contact the photographer before the baby is born. We're getting ours done when he's a week old and our photographer has just pencilled us in. We'll contact her after he's born to set up a date and time.

Hi zonagirl its best to contact the photographer you are interested in right away. You want to let them know your due date and also contact them when you actually deliver. That way, they can schedule your shoot. They are typically done from birth-day 14. A company also came to my room the day after I delivered. The pics were nice, but not the quality and variety I wanted. The photos in hospital were free to take, but the packages were ridiculously overpriced for what they offered. Google "new born photography-----" and enter your area to see who is in your city/town. It's an expense you will NEVER regret.

I'm impatient so my camera is currently charging waiting for shade to hit outside. I want to do pictures now! My studio aka the garage is infested with spiders right now so outside will have to do.

We had our photographer on standby, and let her know when I was induced, and then when I delivered. She is still processing them, but was able to turn a few out asap so I could post on Facebook! Here's what we have so far (taken about 6 hours after birth)

I started today but Noah wasn't having it. Too hot outside and I couldn't find my heating pad so he got mad quick. But these two...can't wait to finish so I can edit.

I just got the rest of our newborn photos back, so I'm going to spam it up for a moment! I an so in love with the photos and so happy we were able to do so many different shots!





The stuffed monster here it's what we're going to use each month to display his growth. We got it in Asheville before he was born, her name it's Adeline. That actually would have been his middle name had he been a she.



This is the back if the quilt my MIL made. It's the lyrics to a sing she wrote when H and his siblings were young, I think H was 1 when she wrote it.





H is a huge Phish fan, so I loved that we got to work that in. Miles was born on the 18th anniversary of H's first Phish show.

My niece (who did my maternity photos) came by yesterday and did ours. Rayne is technically 2.5 weeks old but I was fine with that, it's close enough. here's a couple from the shoot.

I just emailed and called around today and booked for this week. (Baby girl is 8 days old) I went back and forth about spending the money but decided to splurge on a good session.
