We had a 2:30am party with beverages (BM, anyone?), then slept in until 7am. LO had a small breakfast and enjoyed some time in her jumper. Now she's napping on me.
I did manage to fold 2/3 of the laundry baskets before the nap. I don't know if she will go longer than 30 minutes, she's so twitchy.
I'm in a baby-imposed rest. She woke up with me at 5:30 and refused to go back to sleep! So I got in bed with her and she was out in two seconds. But now I have to feed my belly and get ready for my friend's wedding! I hope baby is quiet for the ceremony- Happy Saturday!
We survived moving! Now I'm working on getting unpacked at my parents' house, and spending relaxing time with DH before he leaves. I'll live here for about 5 or 6 months until we move together to wherever he gets stationed. I feel like my emotions are running in 10 different directions at the moment...
LO has napped like a pro today so that is making up for the horrible night sleep we've been having.
I have a clean house because at 10:30 Friday night my mom texts me to let me know that my God Mother was coming down today to see the house and baby. Talk about a bit of panic because the house was a disaster. I'm rather enjoying the clean house now.
My mom, godmother and LO went to the zoo. We had a great time. It also was a great way to get a bunch of steps in. My work gives you $50 every 3 months if you average 10,000 steps a day.
What a day. Went to baby story time and to lunch with a friend and her baby then had to deal with a crying baby most of the afternoon. I think it was partly because she didn't nap well and partly due to teething. I never did get a shower in...ugh. she's been asleep now for an hour and has already woken up once, should be a really fun night!
MsNicole06 I definitely get all my cleaning done in the hour b4 people come over. How fun that you went to the zoo! nerdalert glad you got a moved, good luck unpacking and enjoy your time with your H! pixie523 that sounds like an awesome day, I'm jealous zengal awe, your lo just needed some mommy sunggles this morning! Hope the wedding went well gldnbearz props to you for folding laundry during lo's nap. I usually have plans to do that and end up watching tv instead and my laundry just piles up
kfaye We washed that laundry last weekend, so it was definitely time it got folded. I managed the folding during the period of time when she was fussing, pre-nap.
We went out for a late lunch then a visit with our friend who was laid up with a broken leg. LO needed her afternoon nap and couldn't quite settle down. She fell asleep by 8:30pm and so did I. Didn't last past midnight, but we both got a few hours in.
I have created a monster! The last few nights lo will not sleep in his own crib. I usually can get him to fall asleep while nursing and then place him in his crib, but not the last few nights. I don't know what's going on with him. Earlier in the week he was doing pretty well. Now, he's being more clingy to me at night. And of course he falls asleep and then I'm awake for hours in the motn. I was just finally falling back asleep when my 3 yr old came in a little after 6 this morning. DH is still sleeping. I'm so tired and feel myself becoming grumpy.
kfaye was your night okay? I also get apprehensive about the nights after bad nap days. l8rg8r that's the same song and dance we have. Some nights start in the crib no problem, some not so much. The wedding went fairly well. I had to get up and stand in the back partway through because baby was happily shouting. I think we've reached the age where we won't be taking her a lot of places that require sitting down... Dinner yesterday and breakfast this morning both resulted in a meltdown. We get in the car and voila! She's fine again.
We were awoken by a mosquito buzzing around early this morning. MH was bent on catching the thing after a previous mosquito made everyone miserable three weekends ago. Later on, he found a flea on the dog. I'm so steamed because he's the one who wanted to stop the monthly flea prevention pill. Ugh.
Then while dealing with a bad diaper change, the dog comes over and sneezes after drinking water. At one point, I had baby poop on my hand and dog drool on my calves.
zengal Right there with you on the places that require sitting down. I always put LO in the church nursery, so that's not a problem, but a wedding or anything like that would be almost impossible. Glad we don't have any coming up too soon!
My brother is getting married next summer, and LO will be a flower girl at 18 months old. I am already nervous!
Another busy day today. I need an extra day to have a relaxing weekend.
My school had supply drop off today and I was able to see a bunch of my students. Then we did grocery shopping, lunch with MIL and GMIL, made a my dad a card, did some school work, dinner out and then came home and made lunches for the week. Now we've showered and are watching Big Brother while LO plays.
Mmmm. H left for his conference until Wednesday. I might be watching Teen Mom 2 and eating pancakes? Yeah, I definitely am watching Teen Mom 2 and eating pancakes.
