I'm waving hello from the land of crazy busy work, lots of summer activities and a non-sleeping baby:-/
I feel like I am such a bad PB member right now because I rarely have tome to tag and half the time I start typing a post only to get distracted by work or lo :-( I am trying to keep up and at least read along but it makes me feel like a lurker!
My boss finally officially announced my promotion and As of today I am now only on one project instead of juggling two plus training someone to take over my previous project so I am hoping life will get less busy once I get caught up on everything that got triaged while I was juggling!
Lo has decided that he needs to be awake for a few hours in the MOTN the last couple of nights, not cool lo not cool at all.
I'm not ready for the weekend to be over! MH and I were trying to identify what we have to look forward to this week, and the consensus was next weekend But, I'm sure it will be a wonderful day anyhow, right? Right.
Came in early to help my boss do an interview for an international candidate. Now I remember why I took this over. OOF. (Upside, leaving early because of this weirdness)
In other news, my LO was almost STTN, but I was so anxious about her waking the first squeak she made (at 5am) I ran in there with a bottle. I basically woke her up? Whoops. It was kind of nice though, because she ended up sleeping until I woke her. I got to brush my teeth all by myself without having to say "Don't touch the potty" over and over.
Hey! I need some pumping entertainment. Where's my crew? pixie523 I have to brush my teeth holding baby. She doesn't tolerate being set down. Yesterday I was trying to...well, idk what I was trying to do but I drooled toothpaste all down the front of my shirt and her leg. Sometimes I'm glad too when she sleeps in and I get to get ready on my own! Hooray for almost STTN!

I'm like sleep drunk. I'm guessing it'll be rare to see again, but that long stretch of sleep was REAL nice. It is _surprisingly_ quiet here.

Hey hey, sorry I've been MIA the last few days. Had a wedding on Friday and have just been so busy! LO has taken his mobility to a whole new level. The kid pulls himself up on EVERYTHING ... walls, doors, doorways, bath tub, glass doors, coffee tables, the fireplace (YIKES!). DH and spent a good portion of the weekend baby proofing, just in time for LO to find something else we need to baby proof. We're looking for some sort of netting to put over our wine rack (it's bolted to the wall) as he can pull bottles off of it. DH bought a baby gate last week and it didn't fit so he ordered the right one and the PNP has been strategically placed at the bottom of the stairs until the gate arrives. LO has also taken to standing up and then letting go of whatever he was holding on to. This kid has zero fear and nothing seems to phase him. He's got a few bumps and bruises and one fall yesterday made him cry a little. But man alive, this kid is giving me a workout. He is 9 months today! Everyone thinks he'll be walking by next month. AAACKK!!!! NO!!!! Oh and he finally cut a tooth. I can feel the little bugger, luckily he hasn't bitten while nursing though.
spikesmom - Yay for the promotion!! No worry on the drive-by's I always like to hear what's going on in your world. Tagging is hard some days. zengal - I can't wait for the weekend either! I want to entertain you but I'm only 1/2 way through my first cup of coffee and have nothing witty to say. pixie523 - I'm so jealous on the STTP ... I'd take 4 straight hours right now. We've decided LO suffers from what we call RBS (Restless Baby Syndrome)
ninergirl52, The pulling up on a wall makes me nuts. What's your end game lady? You're trapped there now. Luckily she's gotten so good at the flop to her butt. I was watching her on the monitor last night and man, what a big baby! Being one and done is hard sometimes.
ninergirl52 you entertained- and frightened me with what may be to come! My baby still hasn't crawled. I keep waiting. She gets on all fours and has rocked and put one hand forward, but then she either face plants or goes back to a sit. I was mirroring her this weekend, and it sure does take some strength to lean forward and back the way that she does it!

zengal - Glad I was able to entertain, sorry if I've frightened you ... all I can say is don't be like us and slack on baby proofing. This kid has no desire to play with his toys ... he'd much rather eat our shoes, play with outlets and (literally) climb the walls. pixie523 - My LO is so proud of himself when he gets up on the walls, and then just walks along them.
You know what's my favorite, in opposite land? My post pregnancy skin. Really into these massive pimples I've recently started growing.
I'll play! But it's too hard to choose my favorite!! There's so much I adore about my pp status! The hair loss, the still-saggy belly skin, the no-longer perky bubbies. Don't make me choose.
Late to the party today, we just got back from the park with lo's cousins and my mom.
pixie523 I miss my pregnancy skin too! ( at least the second half of it) my skin is awful and like zengal said I'm also not loving my hair continuously falling out and my saggy boobs
I too don't have a crawler yet, she kind of gets on her knees but won't push up on her hands at the same time. Is there anything I can do other than putting her on her tummy a lot to help her get there? I'm sure it's one of those things where one day she just does it!
Oh and spikesmom congrats on the promotion! I feel the same way about not posting much on here, if I have my phone out around lo she just wants it and is pissed if I don't give it to her
Add me to the list of my LO doesn't let me hold my phone long enough to post. Hope everyone is having a good day! I'm taking advantage of my husband being on vaca and getting my eyebrows waxed and then getting a massage after tomorrow. Then I'm going to the chiropractor Wednesday evening. I have pain in my shoulder that I think is from bed sharing all these months. I'm getting moody about not having my own space in the middle of the night whenever we try to put her back in the crib she cries then shes up for HOURS
Oh jax1182014. That is exactly what is going on at our house, with the crying for hours when we try to put her back in her crib. I'm going to tell the pedi at our next appointment that we are bed sharers. There needs to be representative data out there so moms will have accurate info about how common it really is. And then we all need massages and chiropractic care!
I think more families are bed sharers than not! We did it for a bit, until LO really needed her own space. None of us slept well when we coslept so it was clearly not for us. If baby gets rest with you, you're more likely to get rest, do it up.
Hello!! Work is gearing up to be very very busy in the next couple of months! (Thank god- we had a very lean summer). I am going to try my best to post but some days I may be here all day and I might miss lots of other days.
Liam is almost walking, he is letting go more and more from the wall/couch/etc. He climbs things and I literally can't take my eyes off him for a second right now it seems. He has been napping only 2 times a day and only a total of 1-2 hours (between BOTH naps) which is making anything hard to do during the day, but also makes for better night's rest so I think for now I will take it.
The heat wave continues, it's hot as balls and poor little man's eczema has been popping back up again.
jjh1119, glad to see you and happy to hear thinks are picking up for you all.
I'm at the sweet spot of H's travel. LO is down for the night and only one more solo bed time. Made dinner he'd think was stinky (curry powder) and now watching Law & Order. By tomorrow this will wear off, so enjoying the alone time now.
I went back to work today. LO went to daycare and took an hour nap when we got home. DC took some great pictures of DD playing and eating. Best part was when DD saw me. She started fussing and whining when I didn't pick her up right away. She smiled and buried her head in my shoulder when I picked her up. I know she missed me.
I enjoyed seeing all of the staff and I'm really excited for the year.
pixie523 I agree that as milestones happen OAD gets a little sad since it's the last time the milestone will be hit.
FX crossed DD sleeps better tonight than last nights up ever 44-60 min.
