Sending thoughts and prayers to you, I had preterm labor with DD at 29W and was dilated to 2, so was on bed rest from 29W until I had an emergency c section @ 35W. I found bed rest to be extremely difficult but luckily for me I was able to do my job from home and my company and MFM were comfortable with me sitting up during the day and working on the computer. Good luck!

Welcome, and sorry to hear about the bedrest/preterm labor. I had that with both of my kids, but with both, I managed to make it full term and not deliver until the 39 week mark. Hang in there!

I just experienced preterm contractions last week, but things didn't keep progressing like you. I am praying your ultrasound bears good news and that the baby stays in as long as possible! Please take care.
Well, I don't have any answers but I figure if it was really serious they would have sent me to the ER. I would hope anyway.
I seriously just had the worst experience at an ultrasound. I had a know-it-all tech who didn't really tell me anything I needed to know. She gave me the 3rd degree about why I was getting an US without having my cervix checked by my midwife first. Obviously there's a reason and I don't know it. Then questioning me hard about my symptoms and telling me shit I already know. Basically, she made me feel like I was one of those crazy paranoid moms that over analyze every symptom. bitch, I have been through 37 hours of labor before, I know what the fuck I am feeling.
On top of all of this she accused me of not drinking enough water. Listen lady, this is like my 8th ultrasound (both pregnancies combined) -I know how to prep for this. I asked about my cervix (the main reason I was there) and she tells me that I will hear from my midwife in 1-3 business days. I ask about the cysts on baby's brain that were found on the AS and she said in 1-3 business days. Of course when DH come in the room she's as sweet as pie showing the baby. I left in tears because I was so freaking frustrated.
Seriously, I am fucking terrified. The last thing I need is someone to grill me about being there. I'm just doing what I am told. And to me, even if it's false labor - it's better to be safe than sorry.
Sorry for the long post. Vent over. PS. You guys kick so much ass with all your kindness and support. Thank you, it means a ton!
