Hit post too soon. So there we are going to a comicon in a few months that is right up the street. I really want to do a family cosplay. I was thinking the incredibles. Easy, recognizable and Isaac would be a really cute Jack Jack.
I finally achieved a milestone at 9.5 months that many others achieved much earlier. She peed on me. I sort of asked for it as I was transporting a half naked kid from changing pad to bathroom and I didn't want to put a clean diaper on her until I washed her with soap and water.
Good morning! I feel like this is going to be a bit of a fly by post. I've been so busy the last few days. I start reading posts, but then never have time to respond. LO had a rough night last night. He has become very restless. He goes to sleep without any issues, falls asleep nursing, I transfer him to his crib and he sleeps a few hours, but then he's up a few hours in and then up again and again. Doesn't matter if he's in his crib or our bed, he sits up, whines, doesn't open his eyes and flops back down and spins, etc. Poor little guy, the only thing I can think is his new little teeth are bugging him. Anyone else have a restless sleeper?
Morning ladies! spikesmom catching up from yesterday, what total bs with your job! Sorry girl songbirdsinging55 that sounds like an adorable family costume! I've already been thinking about what to have lo be for Halloween, even tho I know it's far away! gldnbearz so glad your lo is feeling better. Welcome to the been peed on club ninergirl52 my lo was super restless when she was cutting her teeth...no fun!
Meeting up with my friend and her baby today...hope her dumb ass husband doesn't crash our party again. He's been at the house when we come over (he's supposed to be at work but comes home) and last time he was at the restaurant with them when we got there! He's very controlling and has always just tolerated our friendship but he's threatened by it for sure...he's just such an ass and makes our girls day not that at all. We like to talk about our babies and yes complain about our husbands a bit and I hate that he's been showing up lately, I haven't said anything to her about it yet but may need to. Jeeze sorry for the rant!
ninergirl52 Your LO's sleep habits are very interesting! When mine wakes up, the timing pattern sounds the same, but all she does is reach for me and then go back to sleep (or cry when she doesn't find me). The keeping his eyes closed is what's funny!

That's Liam lately too. I just want to sleeeeeeeeep
kfaye, What the hell? That's ridiculous of your friend's H. Why is he threatened by your relationship? Is it possible to suggest a walk or something if he happens to be there?

That's totally adorable. My neice was about 1 or 2 when that movie came out and my name is Jen. She called me "Jen Jen" forrrr oh I don't know the following 5 years lol. Love the movie. We are all assuming since it happened directly after she watched the movie that the idea sprung from "Jack Jack"
I am incredibly sleep deprived. Even when we cosleep neither of us is sleeping because he is usually sideways or upside down or we are getting kicked or smacked. It's crazy. He will cry for forever. Refuse a bottle then end up guzzling it down once he is calm. He's eating every three hours over night. I can't seem to find the perfect mix of solids to formula. Yesterday he had oatmeal plus two pouches AND 4- 6 ounce bottles of formula AND bites of whatever myself and H were eating.
He moves around so much. My parents have a walker and I swear he runs in it. It's like I can't feed him enough and he needs to eat still overnight. Anyone else still formula feeding bottles overnight?? (I'm asking specifically about formula feeding because number 1 it SHOULD hold him over, and number 2 I know he is having a full 6 ounces- twice. overnight- it seems like so much still).
He is super tall and very lean so I know that he probably just still needs it, especially because he is so so active. I am thinking of upping his 9 month appt just in case we are missing something (ear infection or whatever).
kfaye How would your friend's H respond if you invited her to your house or some ladies only event or had a last-minute change of venue? That's crazy that her H always wants to be there! You might need to say something to her.
jjh1119 I think he's threatened because he's so insecure and thinks I'm going to tell her he's crap and she should leave him...which I would love to do but she never will, especially since her lo came around. It's been bad for a while, nobody wanted them to get married (her family included) but she's my best friend so I have just put up with him. That's why we usually just hang out with each other (no couples stuff bc my H doesn't like him either)
Suggesting a walk is a great idea, he also hates breakfast food so I've been suggesting meeting for that!
jjh1119, We've dropped the overnight bottles as of this week, but LO has never drank as much formula as Liam. If she drinks 5oz she hurls. Are you in a reverse cycle issue? Is he drinking as much during the day?
I don't really know what is going on with him. Some days he only has like 3 bottles of 6 ounces even though I offer them more. He refuses, so overnight he is hungry. We went a solid month or so back when he was 6 months old where he was STTN, no bottles, etc. Then he went to one bottle in the MOTN. Sometimes he refuses a bedtime bottle so he will have two overnight bottles (Like last night). I would say he has about 24 ounces consistently during the day but sometimes hes all the way up to 36 or 38 ounces.
growth spurt? teething? being a baby? doing what 8 month olds do? I don't know but I am fucking tired.
jjh1119, sounds like he's got a real serious case of being a baby. I've just started pushing dinner (solids) up earlier, so there's more room between solids and bedtime bottle and it's helped, but fuck if i know if it really means anything!
Yesterday I had a super stressful day and stuck to my diet. Today? Pretty easy peasy day and fell face first into a gigantic pile of naan.
jjh1119 wish I had an answer for you but same thing is going on with us. Had a period were her sleep was great but it's been shitty ever since. It seriously sucks big time. One night we were up at 430 for the day after 2 hours of crying before that. We are breastfeeding here and sometimes that doesn't help. I hoping these babies figure everything out quickly
ninergirl52, yes! DD is definitely going through a nap hating phase. Dr Google told me that babies can go through at between 8-10 months. I feel like we've definitely hit that.
pixie523, don't beat yourself up about the diet break girl...I just made a big batch of m&m oatmeal cookies. I plan on eating most of them.
kfaye, he sounds like a real jerk. I don't blame you for wanting to avoid him!
I'm about to go on a stretch of three 12.5 hour shifts in a row. I'm definitely not looking forward to it. On the bright side, DH and I had a great date night just the two of us last night.
kaimee27 a date night sounds wonderful about now! Good luck on your next three days. Unless it's consecutive...? :/
Well, I think baby just had an allergic reaction to eggs. She has an eczema patch on her chest, which comes and goes. It was looking pretty good, but during dinner I could see it getting worse. When I picked her up, there were little bumps in the patch and she had hives all over her belly! I am so glad we go to the doctor this month. Poor baby!
DD has a fever, day care called to lets us know. Tylenol reduced it but it's still higher then I'd like. DH made his sub plans and he's staying home tomorrow and taking DD to the Dr.
zengal being allergic to eggs would be awful. I love eggs.
kfaye I have a friend with a jerky H too. Good luck at avoiding him.

MsNicole06 -FX she feels better soon zengal - Poor LO, I haven't tried eggs yet because I am nervous about allergies. Isaac has had strawberries thanks to my Grandfather randomly giving him mashed strawberries at the wedding. I was so frustrated but no reactions so far. kaimee27- yay for date nights but boo for long shifts. Hopefully it flies by for you.
jjh1119- Isaac did this last night, he was up every hour and only wanted me. He nursed every time he was up. I would side lie and he would pass out. I would move him back to the crib. Every hour. It sounds like a growth spurt. Since we got Isaac the walker, he also eats more. He is also very tall and lean. Is there anyone who can watch him so you can get a nap in?
Lol gldnbearz - welcome to the club of getting peed on.
ninergirl52 - we are having similar issues here too. Have you tried some infant Tylenol for the teeth?
kfaye- ugh! I hate guys like that. He needs to give her some space. Hopefully you can have some girl time with no annoying jerks.
So I guess the magic of this board is if I complain about his sleep patterns, he will eventually prove me wrong and sleep pretty decently. He did wake up twice but the first time wasn't until 2 am. So yeah, it was good. Of course, I woke up at 1 am wondering what the heck was going on and why wasn't this kid awake? lol can't win.
