We have not had any issues with waking throughout the night (yet..) but dd has been a real pill to get to go to sleep lately. The last nap and bedtime are the hardest. She wants to be held and rocked to sleep and screams like I've never heard before. Do we rock her and ride out this wave or cio?? I don't want to set up bad habits but I've never heard her scream like that before.
mommadozer she had only had avocado and carrots at that time. I am more suspicious that is was more the newness of solids than the type, that is a lot of change for the gi system!

I think it is up to you and what you can handle. We are at the age where they start learning consequences for their actions e.g., I scream and someone comes back and picks me up. So yes habits can be formed, but is that what is happening at this point? Who's to say, maybe give her a few days to adjust and if it's the same exact thing every time we try to modify our reaction to respond to their needs while promoting healthy habits.
As for the screaming it sounds awful doesn't it? They pulled me out of the church service yesterday because of the screaming. I think a lot of it is her finding her voice. I was holding a very tired LO yesterday and she was doing that screaming in my ear, she wasn't hungry, wasn't hurt, no gas just tired and she literally had to scream it out on my shoulder.

Mine was doing that this morning a bit. Shrieking while moving for a few minutes (felt like longer) then rolled over and BOOM asleep. At least it was only 5 minutes before my alarm.
