trixi282 are you working a speech language pathologist who specializes in pediatric feeding? I'm so glad to hear she's doing well and is coming home soon. Can you share a pic? Also Eleanor's room is nowhere near done but I figure it's okay bc she sleeps in our room.

We're working with an occupational therapist who deals greatly with neonatal feeding. She's fantastic and has made some great progress with Emme.... Poor girl just has a lot to overcome and is extremely particular when it comes to things in her mouth, and very picky about how she likes to eat.
The OT has helped guide us with the tongue tie, and suggested the g-tube to the docs. She really doesn't want Emme to hate eating and therefore doesn't want to push her too much. With as old as she is it could take some time and its kind of silly for us to be in the hospital for an healthy baby who just can't eat all that she needs orally... Especially after all she's already been through and overcome.

So I'm here trying to catch up! Glad she is so close to home! I have to pass this on because I absolutely love these gtube/mickey button covers for kiddos! So cute while being practical! All of our g tube button parents use them and prefer them over gauze once the site is well healed!
lizwinderson, those are so cute, thanks! A mommy acquaintance of mine shared something similar with me that she found on Amazon. Her daughter also has a gtube... She also started using an iron on patch for clothes called "tummy tunnels". It helps keep clothes looking nice and without big fraying holes in them, so you can access the button.
I'm going to go broke buying her accessories for this dang thing!
