Halloween!

So, I know we talked about 1st birthday themes, but, since it's in a couple months, what about Halloween? Any one thought of costume ideas for their LO's yet?

DH and I are currently planning on DS dressing as a #1950's paper boy This is the picture that started the idea:

Just add a white onsie with gray overalls and a bag with some rolled up papers in it. Cute!

I really want LO to have a different costume than DD1 had but my cheap side is fighting with that.

I'm goign to ask my neighbour if she wants to switch costumes this year since we both have 2 girls almost the same ages. Although she Is more likely to go out and buy something new.

We're throwing around the idea of dressing G as part of a Kids in the Hall sketch. We're thinking of the Lucky Lobster. Either G will be the lobster and DH will stay in his suit for the night, or G will have a suit and his little lobster toy.

I'd love to make him a costume, but I don't think I can get a pattern here.

I have a pumpkin costume which was gifted to us and a bee. But I'd really like to dress her as a calf. My cheap side will also likely win out.

We bought a ladybug costume from carters last November on clearance. We were helping w trick or treat in dc and saw a little girl in this.

Last year my cousin's son did the farmer thing. They pulled him around in a wagon and put some hay in the base. Might be an option to give you sone easier travels. (Not sure how old your son is).

I love group costumes. I found a batman costume for DH, Robin for DS, and I already have something that'll work for catwoman.

But I'll likely end up finding something random and cheap at OUAC

Living in Holland. We have a 3 day carnival here where everyone dresses up, but you don't go door to door and the atmosphere is more drinky-drinky than cute kids in costumes it makes me genuinely sad every year! I loved Halloween as a kid!

Haven't decided yet. We live in an apartment, but might go over to my friend's house and take our babies out together. DS's daycare might do something and even if they don't I may send him in a costume he can play in anyway.

DH wants DS to be a parrot so we can be a pirate family. I found out this is not an origional idea, but I love it.

I have no idea what we are dressing the kids as for Halloween. I would do a family theme but dd is old enough to want to pick out her own costume. Spirit halloweens have started to pop up here but we haven't looked yet.

Sigh - thanks ladies! Being indecisive is such a curse. We live in MA, so it's kind of a crap shoot on what the weather will be like. We probably are only going up to grandma's house anyways. The Carter's costume is last year so I'm only finding for like $50+. Argh. Alice is $35, but I'd have to buy the tights.
